2. Safety Information
Please read and understand all safety instructions before operating the heat press. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.
- Hot Surfaces: The heating plate reaches very high temperatures (up to 500°F / 260°C). Always use caution and avoid direct contact with hot surfaces. Allow the machine to cool completely before handling or storing.
- Electrical Safety: Ensure the machine is connected to a grounded 110V (standard US and Canada) power outlet. Do not use damaged power cords. Unplug the machine when not in use or during maintenance.
- Ventilation: Operate the heat press in a well-ventilated area to prevent heat buildup and dissipate any fumes from materials.
- Children and Pets: Keep the heat press out of reach of children and pets.
- Stability: Place the machine on a stable, heat-resistant surface. The unit weighs approximately 39.3 pounds (17.8 kg).
- Supervision: Do not leave the machine unattended while it is powered on or operating.
3. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the heat press from its packaging. Inspect for any damage during transit.
- Placement: Place the heat press on a sturdy, level, and heat-resistant workbench or table. Ensure adequate space around the machine for safe operation and ventilation.
- Power Connection: Connect the power cord to a grounded 110V AC outlet. The machine requires 1200 watts of power.
- Platen Covers: The machine includes non-stick covers for both the upper and lower platens. Ensure these are properly installed to protect your materials and the machine. The lower platen features a silicone pad for even heat distribution.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe down the heating plate with a damp soft cloth to remove any dust or residue.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off
- Locate the red power switch on the left side of the control panel.
- Flip the switch to the 'ON' position to power on the machine. The digital display will illuminate.
- To power off, flip the switch to the 'OFF' position.
4.2 Temperature Adjustment
- Press the TEMP button on the control panel. The temperature display will flash.
- Use the UP and DOWN arrow buttons to adjust the desired temperature (range: 0-500°F).
- Press the TEMP button again to confirm and set the temperature. The machine will begin heating to the set temperature.
4.3 Time Adjustment
- Press the TIME button on the control panel. The time display will flash.
- Use the UP and DOWN arrow buttons to adjust the desired time (range: 0-999 seconds).
- Press the TIME button again to confirm and set the time.
4.4 Pressure Adjustment
- The pressure adjustment knob is located on top of the heating plate assembly.
- Turn the knob clockwise to increase pressure and counter-clockwise to decrease pressure. Adjust pressure based on the material thickness and transfer type.
4.5 Using the Slide-Out Lower Platen
- The new model heat press features a slide-out lower platen, extending 5.5 inches for easier placement of materials.
- Pull the lower platen towards you to load your garment or item. This allows for safe and precise positioning away from the hot upper platen.
- Place your transfer material onto the garment.
- Push the lower platen back into position under the upper heating plate.

4.6 Heat Transfer Process
- Ensure temperature and time are set according to your transfer material's specifications (refer to the table below).
- Place your item and transfer on the lower platen, then slide it back into position.
- Lower the handle firmly until the upper platen makes full contact with the item. The timer will automatically start counting down.
- Once the timer reaches zero, an audible alarm will sound. Lift the handle to release the pressure and stop the alarm.
- Carefully slide out the lower platen and remove your finished item. Allow the item to cool before handling the transfer.
4.7 Suggested Temperature & Time Settings
These are general guidelines. Always refer to your specific transfer material's instructions for precise settings.

5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the heating plate and control panel with a damp soft cloth. If there is ink on the heating plate, use a rag to clean and wipe the heating plate at 160°C (320°F).
- Lubrication: Lubricate all exposed rods once a year.
- Silicone Pad: When the silicone pad / sponge elasticity is insufficient, please replace it.
- Storage: Cool the machine completely before packaging or storing. Keep the machine dry to prevent it from moisture and rust.
- Power Off: Turn off the machine for 15 minutes after 4 hours of continuous use to prevent overheating.
6. Troubleshooting
- Uneven Heat: If the transfer effect is not good, check the heating plate temperature at multiple positions using a thermometer. Ensure the machine is preheated to the correct temperature.
- Temperature Fluctuation: If the temperature fluctuates significantly during pressing, ensure the machine is not set above 400°F / 210°C for extended periods. This is normal for the heating plate to reach 340°F / 170°C.
- Insufficient Pressure: Adjust the pressure knob to ensure adequate pressure for your material.
- Machine Not Heating: Check the power connection and ensure the power switch is on. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
- Sublimation Paper Issues: If sublimation paper is damaged, wet, or curled, it may affect transfer quality.
