4. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and labels from the kettle and its base.
  2. First Use Cleaning: Before initial use, fill the kettle with clean water to the MAX line. Boil the water (see Operating Instructions), then discard it. Repeat this process 2-3 times to ensure the kettle is thoroughly clean.
  3. Placement: Place the power base on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface away from the edge of the counter. Ensure the power cord is not dangling or touching hot surfaces.
  4. Cord Management: Utilize the handy cord wrap feature underneath the base to adjust the cord length and eliminate counter clutter.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Fill the Kettle: Press the button on the handle to open the hinged lid. Fill the kettle with fresh, cold water. Observe the water level markings on both sides of the kettle. Do not fill below the MIN (0.5L) mark or above the MAX (1.5L) mark.
  2. Close Lid: Close the lid securely until it clicks into place.
  3. Place on Base: Position the kettle onto the 360° rotational power base. The kettle can be placed in any direction.
  4. Power On: Plug the power base into a standard electrical outlet. Press the power switch located on the handle downwards. The kettle will illuminate with a soft blue LED light, indicating that it is heating.
  5. Automatic Shut-Off: The kettle will automatically shut off once the water reaches a rolling boil. The blue LED illumination will turn off.
  6. Pouring: Carefully lift the kettle from its base and pour the hot water. The perfect pour spout and Aquascreen® filter ensure smooth, clean pouring.
  7. Re-boiling: If you need to re-boil water, ensure the kettle has cooled slightly before pressing the power switch again.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

  • Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the kettle and the power base with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  • Interior Cleaning: The kettle is designed for easy hand washing. The wide opening allows for thorough cleaning of the interior.
  • Aquascreen® Filter: The filter in the spout can be removed for cleaning. Rinse it under running water and gently brush away any mineral deposits. Ensure it is properly reinserted before use.
  • Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. To descale, fill the kettle with a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water. Let it stand for at least 30 minutes (or longer for heavy buildup), then boil the solution. Discard the solution and rinse the kettle thoroughly several times with fresh water.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the kettle in a clean, dry place.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Kettle does not turn on:
    • Ensure the power base is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
    • Check that the kettle is correctly seated on the power base.
    • Verify the power switch is pressed down.
  • Water is not boiling:
    • Confirm the kettle is filled above the MIN mark.
    • Check for power supply as above.
  • Kettle shuts off too quickly:
    • This may indicate limescale buildup. Perform descaling as described in the Cleaning and Maintenance section.
  • Water tastes unusual:
    • Ensure the kettle has been cleaned thoroughly before first use.
    • Regular descaling can prevent taste issues caused by mineral buildup.
