3. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to properly install your CLY Solar Flood Light:
- Choose a Location: Select an outdoor location for the flood light that requires illumination. For the solar panel, choose a spot that receives direct sunlight for at least 6-8 hours daily to ensure optimal charging.
- Mount the Solar Panel:
- Ground Installation: Attach the ground stake to the solar panel bracket. Insert the stake firmly into the ground in your chosen sunny location.
- Wall Installation: Use the provided screws and wall plugs to securely mount the solar panel to a wall or fence. Adjust the angle of the panel to face the sun directly.

5. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your solar flood light, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Clean the Solar Panel: Regularly wipe the surface of the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, leaves, or snow. A clean panel ensures maximum sunlight absorption and charging efficiency.
- Check Connections: Periodically inspect the cable connection between the light and the solar panel to ensure it remains secure and free from corrosion. The outdoor special connector is designed for stability and waterproofing.
- Clear Obstructions: Ensure no trees, bushes, or structures are blocking direct sunlight from reaching the solar panel throughout the day.
- Battery Care: The light uses a 18650/4000MAH battery. While designed for durability, extreme temperatures can affect battery life. If storing the light for extended periods, ensure it is fully charged before storage and recharge every few months.

6. Troubleshooting
If your CLY Solar Flood Light is not functioning as expected, consider the following common issues and solutions:
- Light does not turn on at night:
- Ensure the solar panel switch is in the 'ON' position.
- Verify the solar panel is receiving sufficient direct sunlight (6-8 hours daily). Relocate if necessary.
- Check for any obstructions (trees, buildings) blocking sunlight from the panel.
- Ensure the light-to-panel cable connection is secure.
- The battery may not be fully charged. Allow for a full day's charge before testing again.
- Light duration is short:
- The solar panel may not be receiving enough direct sunlight. Clean the panel and ensure optimal positioning.
- Cloudy weather or shorter winter days can reduce charging efficiency.
- The battery may be nearing the end of its lifespan.
- Light flickers or is dim:
- Check the cable connection for looseness or corrosion.
- Ensure the solar panel is clean and receiving adequate sunlight.
- Battery charge may be low.
