Operation
1. Motorized Operation
Your DoorHan Sotra garage door is equipped with a motorized drive system and two 4-channel remote transmitters for convenient operation. Ensure the motor is properly connected to power before use.
- Pairing Remotes: Follow the motor unit's specific instructions to pair the remote transmitters.
- Opening/Closing: Press the designated button on the remote control to open or close the garage door.
- Obstruction Detection: The motor system includes safety features to detect obstructions. If an obstruction is encountered, the door will stop or reverse.
2. Manual Operation
In case of power outage or motor malfunction, the garage door can be operated manually. Consult the motor unit's manual for instructions on disengaging the motor to allow manual movement of the door.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your garage door. Perform these checks periodically:
- Visual Inspection: Annually inspect all moving parts, including springs, cables, rollers, and tracks, for signs of wear, rust, or damage.
- Lubrication: Lubricate moving metal parts (rollers, hinges, and springs) with a silicone-based lubricant every 6-12 months. Do not lubricate plastic parts.
- Balance Test: With the door closed, disengage the opener and manually lift the door halfway. It should stay in place. If it drifts up or down, the springs may need adjustment. This should be performed by a qualified technician.
- Safety Reversal Test: Place a 2x4 piece of wood flat on the floor in the door's path. Close the door. The door should reverse upon contact. If it does not, adjust the opener's sensitivity or contact support.
- Clean Tracks: Keep the tracks free of dirt and debris.
