4. Setup and Preparation

4.1 Charging the Battery

  4. Press and hold the trigger switch. The dies will advance rapidly until they contact the connector, then slow down as crimping pressure builds.
  5. Continue holding the trigger until the tool's internal bypass system audibly "bypasses" (a distinct click or hiss), indicating that optimal crimping pressure has been reached.
  6. Release the trigger switch.
  7. Press the return button to retract the ram and open the dies.
  8. Remove the crimped connector and inspect the crimp for quality and completeness.

5.3 Single-Handed Operation

The REC-B6510 is designed for single-handed use. This allows the operator to hold the tool with one hand while the other hand is free to position the cable or connector, particularly useful in overhead or confined spaces. Ensure a firm grip and stable footing when operating with one hand.
