Operating Instructions
The Suz S101 Table Tennis Robot features a wired remote control for adjusting various functions. Familiarize yourself with the controls to customize your training experience.
Control Panel Functions

Image: The wired remote control box with various adjustment dials for frequency, oscillation, topspin, and backspin.
- Frequency: Adjusts the ball serving rate (40-70 balls per minute). A higher number increases the ball frequency. Ensure frequency is set to at least 1 for operation.
- Oscillation: Controls the left and right movement speed of the robot head. A higher number increases oscillation speed. Setting to '0' provides a fixed point.
- Topspin: Adjusts the topspin strength and ball speed. When topspin is higher than backspin, the serve will have topspin.
- Backspin: Adjusts the backspin strength and ball speed. When backspin is higher than topspin, the serve will have backspin.
- No Spin: To achieve a no-spin ball, set both topspin and backspin to the same number.
Adjusting Ball Trajectory and Spin
The robot supports various spin patterns including no spin, topspin, backspin, and side spin. The ball trajectory can be set to fixed or random.

Image: A diagram illustrating 9 different spin types the robot can produce: topspin, right side spin, rightspin, right under spin, underspin, left under spin, leftspin, left side spin, and no spin.
- Direct Serve (one bounce on your side): Set topspin to 6 and backspin to 2 or 3 on the control box.
- Indirect Serve (two bounces on your side): Set topspin to 4 and backspin to 3 on the control box.
- Adjusting Robot Head Elevation: The robot head can be adjusted up and down to modify the ball's trajectory.

Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your robot:
- Storage: If the robot will not be used for an extended period, clean it thoroughly and store it in its original box or a protective bag to prevent dust accumulation.
- Ball Usage: For best performance and to prevent issues, use Suz brand table tennis balls, as they are specifically designed for this robot.
Troubleshooting
Refer to the following common issues and their solutions:
- Robot Not Serving Properly: The robot requires at least 20 balls in the storage tube to function correctly. Ensure there are sufficient balls and that the ball frequency on the control box is set to at least 1.
- Oscillation Not Working: Turn the Oscillation setting to '9'. Gently assist the robot head by moving it left and right manually to initiate the oscillation mechanism. This can help the motor engage.
- Balls Come Out Weak / Cannot Go Over Net:
- Check installation Step 3: Disconnect and reconnect the USB cable to the main engine.
- Adjust spin settings: Set topspin to 4 and backspin to 3 on the control box and test if the issue is resolved.
