Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your lens, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Lens not attaching securely to camera. | Incorrect alignment or debris in mount. | Ensure correct alignment of mounting indexes. Check for and remove any debris from the lens mount and camera body mount. |
| Images appear out of focus. | Improper manual focus adjustment. | Carefully adjust the focus ring. Utilize camera features like focus peaking or magnification assist for precise focusing. |
| Dust or smudges visible in photos. | Dirty lens elements or camera sensor. | Clean the front and rear lens elements using appropriate cleaning tools. If the issue persists, clean your camera's sensor or have it professionally cleaned. |
| Vignetting (dark corners) in images. | Normal characteristic of some lenses, especially wide open. | Slight vignetting can be a characteristic of certain lenses, particularly at wider apertures. This can often be corrected in post-processing software. Ensure the lens is fully compatible with your camera's sensor size (full-frame or APS-C). |
