5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To clean the controller, use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the controller's finish and internal components.

5.2 Storage

Store the controller in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. When not in use for extended periods, ensure the controller is fully charged before storage and recharge it periodically (e.g., every 3-6 months) to maintain battery health.

5.3 Battery Care

The controller contains a non-removable lithium-ion battery. Do not attempt to replace the battery yourself. Avoid exposing the controller to temperatures above 60°C (140°F) or below -10°C (14°F), as this can degrade battery performance and lifespan.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Controller Not Connecting/Pairing

  • Check Battery: Ensure the controller is sufficiently charged.
  • Bluetooth On: Verify Bluetooth is enabled on your iOS device.
  • Forget Device: If previously paired, go to your iOS device's Bluetooth settings, select the controller, and choose "Forget This Device." Then, attempt to pair again.
  • Reset Controller: Locate the small reset button on the back of the controller (often recessed, requiring a pin or paperclip to press). Press and hold for a few seconds to reset the controller, then attempt pairing again.
  • Restart Devices: Restart both your iOS device and the controller.

6.2 Buttons Not Responding Correctly

  • Test in App: Use the "PXN Game" app's button test function to verify if the buttons are registering inputs.
  • Game Compatibility: Ensure the game you are playing fully supports MFi controllers and the specific button functions you are trying to use. Some games may have limited controller support.
  • Reset Controller: Perform a hard reset using the reset button as described above.

6.3 Charging Issues

  • Check Cable: Ensure the USB charging cable is not damaged and is securely connected to both the controller and the power source.
  • Try Different Port/Adapter: Test with a different USB port or wall adapter to rule out a faulty power source.
  • Inspect Port: Visually inspect the controller's charging port for any debris or damage.
