Installation and Setup
1. Wiring (Traditional 4+N System)
The system uses traditional 4+N wiring. Refer to the wiring diagram provided with your product for specific connections. General connections include:
- Power Supply: Connect the 12 VAC transformer (Art. 1200) to the main power supply (230 VAC input) and to the outdoor unit.
- Audio Lines: Connect the audio lines (microphone and speaker) between the outdoor unit (CA5100P) and the indoor handset (2702W).
- Call Buttons: Connect the call buttons (CA9210, CA9211, CA9213) to the outdoor unit.
- Door Release: If applicable, connect the door release mechanism to the appropriate terminals on the outdoor unit or handset.
Terminal Connections (CA5100P): S4, S3, S2, S1, 4, S, COM, 3, 2, ~, ~, ~.
2. Mounting the Outdoor Unit (CA5100P)
- Choose a suitable location near the entrance, protected from direct heavy rain if possible, at an accessible height.
- Mount the wall bracket (if separate) securely to the wall using appropriate screws and anchors.
- Connect all necessary wiring to the terminals on the back of the outdoor unit.
- Attach the outdoor unit to the wall bracket.
- Insert the desired nameplate(s) into the designated slot(s). The unit supports 1, 2, or 4 buttons.
3. Mounting the Indoor Handset (2702W)
- Select a convenient indoor location, typically near the main entrance.
- Mount the handset's wall plate securely.
- Connect the 4+N wiring from the outdoor unit to the corresponding terminals on the handset.
- Secure the handset onto its wall plate.
Operation
1. Receiving a Call
- When a visitor presses the call button on the outdoor unit, the indoor handset will ring.
- Lift the handset to answer the call and establish two-way communication.
2. Speaking to a Visitor
- Speak clearly into the handset's microphone.
- The outdoor unit's speaker will transmit your voice to the visitor.
3. Opening the Door (if connected)
- Press the designated door release button on the indoor handset (typically one of the two buttons on the 2702W model) to unlock the connected door or gate.
4. Adjustments (CA5100P Outdoor Unit)
- Speaker Volume: The outdoor unit allows for adjustment of the speaker volume. Refer to the unit's internal controls for this setting.
- Backlight Brightness: The blue LED backlight for the nameplates can also be adjusted for brightness.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the surfaces of both the outdoor and indoor units. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Inspection: Periodically check all wiring connections for security and signs of wear.
- Nameplate Replacement: To change the nameplate, carefully remove the cover of the outdoor unit and replace the insert.
Troubleshooting
