- DC 12V: Power input jack. Connect the provided 12V DC power adapter here.
- AUDIO OUTPUT (RCA L/R): Connect to your amplifier, active speakers, or receiver using RCA cables.
- MM INPUT (RCA L/R): Connect your MM (Moving Magnet) turntable here using RCA cables.
- GND (Ground Terminal): Connect the ground wire from your turntable to this terminal to reduce hum and noise.
5. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your Douk Audio T3 PRO Phono Preamp:
- Install Vacuum Tubes: Carefully insert the two provided 6A2 vacuum tubes into their respective sockets on the top of the unit. Ensure they are seated firmly.
- Connect Turntable: Connect the RCA output cables from your MM turntable to the MM INPUT (RCA L/R) jacks on the rear panel of the T3 PRO.
- Connect Ground Wire: Attach the ground wire from your turntable to the GND terminal on the rear panel of the T3 PRO. This is crucial for minimizing hum.
- Connect to Amplifier/Speakers: Connect the AUDIO OUTPUT (RCA L/R) jacks on the rear panel of the T3 PRO to an available line-level input (e.g., AUX, CD, Tuner) on your amplifier, receiver, or directly to active speakers using RCA cables.
- Connect Power: Plug the provided 12V DC power adapter into the DC 12V input on the rear panel, then plug the adapter into a wall outlet.
- Optional AUX Input: If you wish to use the 3.5mm AUX input, connect your audio source (e.g., phone, MP3 player) to the IN (3.5mm AUX Input) jack on the front panel. Note that this input takes priority over the MM Input when a cable is connected.

6. Operating Instructions
Once the T3 PRO is set up, follow these steps for operation:
- Power On: Turn the gain adjustment switch on the front panel from the 'OFF' position to your desired gain setting (39dB, 42dB, or 45dB). The vacuum tubes will illuminate, indicating the unit is powered on.
- Select Input:
- If using a turntable, ensure no cable is plugged into the front 3.5mm AUX input. The unit will automatically use the MM Input.
- If using the 3.5mm AUX input, simply plug in your audio source. The AUX input has priority and will override the MM Input.
- Adjust Gain: Select the appropriate gain setting (39dB, 42dB, or 45dB) based on your turntable's output and your amplifier's input sensitivity. Start with 39dB and increase if the volume is too low or if you experience distortion at higher settings.
- Play Audio: Start playing your record or audio source. Adjust the volume on your connected amplifier or active speakers.

7. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your T3 PRO:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Avoid using liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Tube Replacement: The 6A2 vacuum tubes have a finite lifespan. If you notice a degradation in sound quality or tube failure, they can be replaced. Compatible tube models include 6K4, 6J1, 6J4, GE5654, 6AK5, and 6*1n. Ensure the unit is powered off and unplugged before attempting tube replacement. Allow tubes to cool down before handling.
- Ventilation: Ensure the unit is placed in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating, especially during extended use.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the unit in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your T3 PRO, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No sound output | Unit not powered on; Incorrect input selected; Loose connections; Faulty cables. | Ensure the gain switch is not on 'OFF' and tubes are lit. Check if the 3.5mm AUX input is empty if using MM input. Verify all RCA and power cables are securely connected. Test with different cables. |
| Humming or buzzing noise | Improper grounding; Ground loop; Faulty tubes; Interference. | Ensure the turntable's ground wire is securely connected to the T3 PRO's GND terminal. Try connecting the ground wire to your amplifier's ground terminal if available. Check for other electrical devices causing interference. Consider replacing tubes if they are old or suspected to be faulty. |
| Distorted sound | Gain setting too high; Faulty tubes; Overloaded input. | Reduce the gain setting on the T3 PRO. Ensure your turntable's cartridge is MM type. Replace tubes if distortion persists. |
| Tubes not lighting up | Unit not powered on; Loose tubes; Faulty tubes. | Ensure the power adapter is connected and the gain switch is not on 'OFF'. Gently push down on the tubes to ensure they are fully seated. If still not lighting, tubes may be faulty and require replacement. |
