Maintenance

Cleaning

To clean the digital thermometer display and sensors, wipe them with a soft, damp cloth. Do not submerge the units in water. The product is designed for hand wash only.

Battery Replacement

When the battery indicator appears on the display, it is time to replace the batteries in the corresponding unit. Follow the battery installation steps outlined in the Setup Guide.

Troubleshooting

Common Issues and Solutions

  • Inaccurate or Unexpected Readings:
    • Ensure sensors are placed away from direct airflow vents or heating elements within the appliance.
    • Verify that fresh batteries are installed correctly in both the display unit and sensors.
    • Allow sufficient time (several hours) for temperatures to stabilize after initial setup or opening the appliance for extended periods.
  • Alarm Constantly Triggering:
    • Check if the appliance door was left ajar, causing a temperature rise.
    • Adjust the alarm thresholds to a more appropriate range for your specific appliance and desired food safety levels.
    • If the appliance is malfunctioning, address the issue with the appliance itself.
  • Sensor Suction Cups Not Sticking:
    • Ensure the surface is clean and dry before applying the suction cup.
    • In very cold environments, suction cups may lose adhesion. Utilize the integrated silicone straps to hang the sensors from wire shelves instead.
