Setup

Powering the Unit:

AC Power:

1. Ensure the unit is switched off.
2. Insert the AC power cord into the AC socket on the back of the boombox.
3. Plug the other end of the power cord into a standard wall outlet.

Battery Power:

1. Ensure the unit is switched off and disconnected from AC power.
2. Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the unit.
3. Insert 6 x 1.5V 'C' size batteries (not supplied), ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Operating Instructions

CD Player Operation:

1. Switch the function selector to 'CD' mode.
2. Open the CD compartment cover by gently lifting it up.
3. Place a CD onto the spindle with the label side facing up.
4. Close the CD compartment cover by pushing it down until it clicks.
5. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start playback.
6. Use the SKIP/SEARCH buttons (◀◀ / ▶▶) to skip tracks or fast forward/rewind.
7. Press the STOP button to stop playback.
8. The REPEAT button allows you to repeat the current track or all tracks.
9. The PROG button allows programming of tracks.

Cassette Player Operation:

1. Switch the function selector to 'TAPE' mode.
2. Press the STOP/EJECT button to open the cassette door.
3. Insert a cassette tape with the open edge facing upwards.
4. Close the cassette door.
5. Press the PLAY button to start playback.
6. Use the FAST FORWARD (FF) and REWIND (REW) buttons to navigate the tape.
7. Press the STOP/EJECT button to stop playback and eject the tape.
8. To record, press the RECORD button while in TAPE mode and playing from CD, Radio, or AUX.

FM Radio Operation:

1. Switch the function selector to 'RADIO' mode.
2. Extend the telescopic antenna for optimal reception.
3. Rotate the TUNING knob to select your desired FM radio station.
4. Adjust the VOLUME knob to your preferred listening level.

AUX Input Operation:

1. Switch the function selector to 'AUX' mode.
2. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not supplied) to the AUX IN port on the boombox.
3. Connect the other end of the audio cable to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device (smartphone, MP3 player, tablet).
4. Start playback on your external device.
5. Adjust the volume on both the boombox and your external device for optimal sound.

Headphone Use:

• Plug your headphones (not supplied) into the headphone socket located on the back of the unit.
• When headphones are connected, sound will be muted from the built-in speakers.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• CD Player: If the CD player skips or fails to read discs, try cleaning the disc with a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not touch the lens.
• Cassette Player: Periodically clean the tape heads and pinch rollers with a cotton swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol.
• Storage: When not in use for extended periods, remove batteries and store the unit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
