6. Installation Guide

This security light is designed for wall mounting and requires hardwiring to an electrical junction box (not included). Professional installation is recommended if you are not familiar with electrical wiring.

6.1 Preparation

  • Turn off power at the circuit breaker or fuse box before starting.

6.2 Mounting Steps

  2. Step 2: Wire Connections. Connect the household wires to the fixture wires using the provided wire nuts. Match colors: Black to Black (Live), White to White (Neutral), Green/Bare Copper to Green (Ground). Ensure all connections are tight and insulated with electrical tape if necessary.
  3. Step 3: Secure Fixture. Align the fixture with the mounting bracket and secure it with the center screw. Ensure the gasket is properly seated to maintain weather resistance.

6.3 Adjusting Light Heads and Sensor

The three light heads and the motion sensor can be independently adjusted to cover your desired area. Gently pivot each component to the required angle. Do not force adjustments beyond their natural range of motion.

7. Operating Instructions

After installation, restore power to the fixture. The motion sensor has adjustable settings for optimal performance.

7.1 Sensor Adjustments

Locate the adjustment dials on the underside of the motion sensor. These typically control 'TIME' (lighting duration) and 'SENS' (sensitivity/detection range).

  • TIME: Adjusts how long the light stays on after motion is detected. Settings usually range from 10 seconds to 10 minutes. Turn the dial clockwise to increase the duration, counter-clockwise to decrease.
  • SENS: Adjusts the motion sensor's sensitivity and detection range. Turn the dial clockwise for higher sensitivity and longer range (up to 72 feet), and counter-clockwise for lower sensitivity and shorter range.
  • TEST Mode: Some models include a 'TEST' setting on the TIME dial. In this mode, the light will turn on for a short period (e.g., 5-10 seconds) each time motion is detected, regardless of ambient light. This is useful for testing the sensor's coverage area.

8. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your security light.

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the light heads and motion sensor lens with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish or sensor.
  • Inspection: Annually inspect the wiring and mounting for any signs of wear, damage, or loosening. Ensure the fixture remains securely attached to the wall.
  • LEDs: The integrated LED lights are designed for long life and are not user-replaceable.

9. Troubleshooting
