Safety Information
Always observe basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury.
- The appliance is equipped with a safety device to protect against overheating.
- If the appliance repeatedly switches on and off for reasons other than thermostat control, check for any obstructions blocking air intake or expulsion.
- Should the appliance turn off and not restart, disconnect it from the main power supply. Wait approximately 15 minutes before reconnecting. If it still does not start, seek authorized technical assistance.
- Do not cover the heater. Covering the heater can cause overheating and fire.
- Do not use this heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool.
- Keep flammable materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 1 meter (3.3 feet) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Before Use
- Ensure all packaging materials have been removed from the appliance.
- Some parts of the appliance may have been lightly greased. A slight smoke or odor may be detected during the first few uses; this is normal and will dissipate shortly.
- To eliminate any initial odor, it is recommended to operate the heater at full power for 2 hours in a well-ventilated room before regular use.
Installation
Proper installation is crucial for safety and performance.
- Remove all internal packaging materials from the appliance.
- Install the appliance away from flammable materials such as textiles, cardboard, or paper.
- Maintain a minimum distance of 50 cm from combustible materials like curtains and furniture.
- Ensure that the air intake and exit vents are not obstructed by drapery, clothing, or any other items, as this increases fire risk.
- The appliance must be installed at least 1.8 meters (approximately 5.9 feet) above the floor.
- If mounting in a bathroom, ensure the power socket, supply cable, switches, and controls are not within reach of a person in the bath, shower, or at the wash-hand basin. The IPX2 rating provides humidity resistance, but direct water contact should be avoided.
- The power plug must be easily accessible for emergency disconnection.
- Ensure the appliance is securely fixed using the provided screws. Use only the manufacturer-specified holes to prevent damage.
