4. Setup
4.1 Installation
The STC-3008 controller is designed for panel mounting. The installation opening dimensions are approximately 71mm x 29mm. Ensure sufficient space for ventilation and wiring connections.
4.2 Wiring Instructions
Refer to the wiring diagram located on the back label of the controller for correct connections. It is crucial to distinguish the interface of the relay, sensor, and power supply. Maintain proper distance between sensor lead and power wires to avoid interference.

Image 4.1: Top view of the STC-3008 controller, clearly showing the wiring diagram on the label. The diagram indicates connections for power supply, sensor, and output relays.
General Wiring Guide:
- Power Supply: Connect the appropriate DC12V, DC24V, or 110-220VAC power to terminals 1 and 2 as indicated on the diagram.
- Sensor: Connect the temperature probe(s) to the designated sensor terminals (e.g., 3 and 4).
- Output: Connect your heating or cooling device to the output relay terminals (e.g., 5/6 and 7/8 for OUT1, 9/10 for OUT2). The output capacity is 10A.
Caution: Double-check all wiring connections before applying power to prevent damage to the controller or connected devices.
5. Operating Instructions
The STC-3008 features two digital displays and control buttons for setting and monitoring temperatures.

Image 5.1: Close-up of the STC-3008 front panel, showing the two digital displays (OUT1 and OUT2) and the four control buttons for setting parameters.
5.1 Power On/Off
Once wired correctly, the device will power on automatically when electricity is supplied. There is no dedicated power button.
5.2 Setting Temperature Parameters
The controller typically allows setting a desired temperature (set point) and a hysteresis (temperature difference for switching). Specific button functions may vary slightly, but generally involve:
- Viewing Set Point: A short press of a 'SET' or similar button might display the current set temperature.
- Entering Setting Mode: A long press (e.g., 3-5 seconds) of a 'SET' button usually enters the parameter setting mode.
- Adjusting Values: Use the 'Up' (▲) and 'Down' (▼) buttons to increase or decrease the temperature values or other parameters.
- Confirming Settings: Press 'SET' again or wait for a few seconds for the device to automatically save and exit the setting mode.
Consult the specific instructions printed on the device label or a more detailed diagram for precise button functions and parameter codes (e.g., F1, F2, F3 for set point, hysteresis, calibration).
5.3 Display Indicators
- The left display (OUT1) shows the current temperature measured by the first probe.
- The right display (OUT2) shows the current temperature measured by the second probe.
- Indicator lights (often red LEDs) next to 'OUT' labels illuminate when the respective relay output is active (e.g., heating or cooling is engaged).
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
- Wipe the controller's surface with a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the casing or display.
- Ensure no liquids enter the device.
6.2 Probe Care

Image 6.1: Close-up of a single temperature probe, highlighting its metallic tip and insulated cable.
- Keep the temperature probe clean and free from debris that could affect its accuracy.
- Avoid bending or kinking the probe cable excessively.
- Ensure the probe is securely placed in the environment where temperature measurement is required.
7. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with the STC-3008 controller.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Controller does not power on. | No power supply; incorrect wiring; faulty power source. | Check power connections and source. Verify wiring against the diagram. |
| Inaccurate temperature reading. | Damaged probe; probe not properly placed; electrical interference. | Inspect probe for damage. Ensure probe is correctly positioned. Check for strong electromagnetic fields near the sensor cable. |
| Output not switching (heating/cooling). | Incorrect temperature settings (set point, hysteresis); faulty relay; wiring issue. | Verify set temperature and hysteresis. Check output wiring. Test the connected device independently. |
| Display shows 'HHH' or 'LLL'. | Temperature out of range; probe disconnected or damaged. | Check probe connection. If connected, the temperature might be beyond the -55°C to +110°C range. Replace probe if damaged. |
