2. Important Safety Instructions

4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking and Initial Cleaning

1. Carefully remove all packaging materials.
2. Wash the interior of the pot, the lid, and the grid with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
3. Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

4.2 Placement

• Place the appliance on a flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface.
• Ensure there is sufficient space around the appliance for ventilation.
• Keep away from walls, curtains, and other flammable materials.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 General Operation

1. Ensure the tap is closed before filling.
2. Fill the appliance with the desired liquid or place jars on the grid. Do not overfill beyond the maximum fill line.
3. Place the lid securely on the pot.
4. Plug the power cord into a suitable 240V electrical outlet.
5. Turn the power switch to the "On" position.
6. Set the desired temperature using the temperature control dial (30°C to 100°C). The red "Heizen" (Heating) indicator light will illuminate.
7. Set the desired operating time using the timer control dial (0 to 120 minutes).
8. Once the set temperature is reached, the red "Heizen" light may cycle on and off to maintain temperature. The yellow "Warm halten" (Keep Warm) light indicates the appliance is maintaining temperature.
9. When the timer expires, the appliance will automatically switch off.
10. To manually turn off, switch the power switch to "Off" and unplug the appliance.

5.2 Hot Beverage Dispensing

• Fill the appliance with water, mulled wine, tea, or other beverages.
• Set the desired temperature. For hot beverages, typically between 70°C and 90°C.
• Allow the beverage to heat to the set temperature.
• To dispense, place a cup under the tap and open the tap lever. Close the tap after dispensing.

5.3 Jar Sterilization (Canning/Preserving)

This appliance can sterilize up to 14 one-liter jars simultaneously.

1. Place the enamelled grid at the bottom of the pot.
2. Arrange filled and sealed jars on the grid. Ensure jars do not touch each other or the sides of the pot.
3. Fill the pot with water until the jars are covered by at least 2-3 cm of water.
4. Set the temperature to 100°C for sterilization.
5. Set the timer according to your recipe's sterilization requirements (e.g., 60-120 minutes).
6. Once the timer completes, carefully remove the hot jars using appropriate canning tongs.

5.4 Temperature and Timer Settings

• Temperature Dial: Adjustable from 30°C to 100°C. The indicator light illuminates when the set temperature is reached.
• Timer Dial: Adjustable from 0 to 120 minutes. The appliance automatically switches off when the timer expires.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

1. Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Interior: Wash the interior of the pot, lid, and grid with warm, soapy water. For stubborn residue, a non-abrasive sponge can be used. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
3. Exterior: Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning pads.
4. Tap: Ensure the tap is clean and free of blockages. Periodically flush with clean water.
