2. Important Safety Information

Please read all safety instructions carefully before using the Beurer HD71 Heated Electric Blanket. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or injury.

  • Always remove the plug from the socket and Control Connector from Blanket Connector before cleaning the blanket. Otherwise, there is a risk of electric shock.
  • Do not use the blanket if it is folded, creased, or bunched up, as this can cause overheating.
  • Do not insert pins or other sharp objects into the blanket.
  • Do not use the blanket on infants, children, incapacitated persons, or persons insensitive to heat.
  • Keep the control unit and power cord away from water or other liquids.
  • Regularly inspect the blanket for any signs of wear or damage. If damaged, discontinue use immediately and contact customer support.
  • The blanket is equipped with the Beurer Safety System (BSS) for overheating protection.

3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking

  • Carefully remove the electric blanket and its components from the packaging.
  • Retain the packaging for future storage or transport.

3.2 Connecting the Control Unit

  • Ensure the blanket is laid flat and unfolded.
  • Locate the connector on the blanket.
  • Firmly insert the control unit's connector into the blanket's connector until it clicks into place.
  • Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

  • To turn on the blanket, press the power button on the control unit.
  • To turn off the blanket, press the power button again until all indicator lights are off.

4.2 Temperature Settings

  • The HD71 offers 4 temperature settings.
  • Use the temperature adjustment buttons on the control unit to cycle through the settings (Warm, Low, Medium, High).
  • The current setting will be indicated by illuminated lights on the control unit.

4.3 Automatic Shut-off

  • For safety and energy efficiency, the blanket features an automatic shut-off function.
  • The blanket will automatically turn off after approximately 2 hours of continuous use.
  • To restart the blanket after auto shut-off, simply press the power button.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning Instructions

5.2 Storage

  • When not in use, store the blanket in a cool, dry place.
  • Avoid folding the blanket tightly or placing heavy objects on it, which could damage the internal heating elements.
