Model: TCE30030

1. Introduction

This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and setup of your TCE TCE30030 Torin 30 Ton H-Frame Pneumatic Air Hydraulic Shop Press. Please read this manual thoroughly before assembly or operation to ensure proper use and to prevent injury or damage.

The TCE30030 is a heavy-duty steel H-frame pneumatic air hydraulic shop press designed for various tasks including straightening, bending, pressing, and stamping. It features a 30-ton (60,000 lb) capacity and a working range from 2 inches to 44-1/2 inches. The table surface can be manually raised and lowered to achieve the optimal working distance for your specific task. The unit includes arbor press stamping plates and an easy-to-read pressure gauge. The piston-ram is treated and polished to resist skiving, and the entire unit is finished with a powder-coated, lead-free paint for durability and resistance to oil, grease, and dirt. This product meets ASME PASE safety standards.

2. Safety Information

WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions may result in serious injury or death.

  • Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
  • Ensure the press is placed on a flat, level, and stable surface capable of supporting its weight and the maximum load.
  • Do not exceed the rated capacity of 30 tons (60,000 lb).
  • Keep hands and body clear of the pressing area during operation.
  • Ensure the workpiece is stable and properly secured before applying pressure.
  • Never modify the press or its components. Use only genuine replacement parts.
  • Keep children and unauthorized personnel away from the work area.
  • Disconnect air supply and relieve hydraulic pressure before performing any maintenance or adjustments.
  • Inspect the press for damage or wear before each use. Do not operate if damaged.

5.2. Manual Hand Pump Operation

  1. Close the release valve on the hydraulic pump by turning it clockwise.
  2. Operate the hand pump lever or the foot pedal to extend the hydraulic ram and apply pressure to the workpiece.
  3. Monitor the pressure gauge to ensure you do not exceed the maximum rated capacity.
  4. Once the operation is complete, slowly open the release valve by turning it counter-clockwise to retract the ram.

5.3. Pneumatic Air Hydraulic Operation

  1. Connect an air compressor (not included) to the air inlet on the pneumatic pump. Ensure the air supply is clean and dry.
  2. Close the release valve on the hydraulic pump.
  3. Activate the air control valve to extend the hydraulic ram.
  4. Monitor the pressure gauge.
  5. To retract the ram, close the air control valve and slowly open the hydraulic release valve.
