  • This charger is designed exclusively for NiMH (Nickel-Metal Hydride) AA and AAA rechargeable batteries. Do not attempt to charge other battery types, such as Alkaline, Lithium, or Carbon Zinc, as this may lead to personal injury or damage.
  • Always insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated on the charger.
  • Do not disassemble, modify, or attempt to repair the charger. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
  • Do not expose the charger to rain, moisture, or extreme temperatures.
  • Keep the charger and batteries out of reach of children.
  • Unplug the charger from the power outlet when not in use or before cleaning.
  • If a battery becomes excessively hot during charging, stop use immediately and discard the battery safely. Insert a new NiMH battery.

Integrated Safety Attributes:

  • Overvoltage Protection: Prevents damage from excessive voltage.
  • Short-Circuit Protection: Safeguards against short-circuit conditions.
  • Safety Timer: Limits charging duration to prevent overcharging.
  • Undervoltage Protection: Protects batteries from being discharged too low.
  • Battery Protection: General safeguards for battery health.
  • Reverse Polarity Protection: Prevents damage if batteries are inserted incorrectly.

Operating Instructions

  1. Begin Charging: Once batteries are correctly inserted and the charger is plugged in, the charging process will begin automatically.
  2. Charging Indicators: The charger features LED indicators for each charging slot. These LEDs will illuminate to show the charging status. Refer to the charger's specific LED behavior for detailed status (e.g., solid light for charging, off for fully charged, blinking for error).
  3. Charging Time: A full charge typically takes between 4 to 8 hours, depending on the battery capacity and discharge level. For the included AA batteries, approximately 45 minutes of charge can provide up to 4 hours of use.
  4. Automatic Shut-off: The charger will automatically stop charging when the batteries reach 100% capacity. This prevents overcharging and extends battery life.
  5. Remove Batteries: Once charging is complete, unplug the charger and remove the batteries.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a dry, soft cloth to clean the charger's exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents. Ensure the charger is unplugged before cleaning.
  • Storage: Store the charger and batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Conditioning: New batteries or batteries stored for an extended period may require 2-3 charge-discharge cycles to achieve their maximum performance.

Troubleshooting

Batteries not charging:
Ensure the charger is properly plugged into a working power outlet. Verify that batteries are inserted correctly with the correct polarity. Confirm that the batteries are NiMH rechargeable type.
Blinking Red LED:
If a blinking red LED is observed, first ensure you are attempting to charge a NiMH AA or AAA battery. If it is a NiMH battery, remove and reinsert it. If the battery becomes hot, stop use and discard it safely. Insert a new NiMH battery.
Charger feels warm during operation:
It is normal for the charger and batteries to become slightly warm during the charging process. If the charger or batteries become excessively hot, unplug the charger immediately and refer to the 'Blinking Red LED' troubleshooting step.
