Setup
1. Before First Use
- Remove any stickers or protective covers from the soleplate.
- Ensure the iron is unplugged.
- Fill the water tank (see "Filling the Water Tank" below).
- Heat the iron to the maximum temperature setting and iron an old piece of fabric for a few minutes to remove any manufacturing residues.
2. Filling the Water Tank
- Ensure the iron is unplugged from the power outlet.
- Open the XL filling opening of the water tank.
- Fill the tank with tap water up to the 'MAX' level indicator. Do not overfill.
- Close the filling opening securely.
Note: For optimal performance and to prolong the life of your iron, it is recommended to use tap water. If your tap water is very hard, mix it with an equal amount of distilled water. Do not use 100% distilled water or demineralized water as this can cause the iron to spit.
Operating Instructions
1. Powering On and Temperature Setting
- Place the iron on its heel on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
- Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
- Turn the temperature control dial to the desired setting according to the fabric type. The iron heats up quickly due to its 2500W power.
- The indicator light will illuminate while the iron is heating and turn off when the selected temperature is reached.
2. Steam Ironing
- Ensure the water tank is filled.
- Set the temperature to a steam-compatible setting (usually indicated on the dial).
- Once the iron reaches the set temperature, adjust the steam control to the desired steam output. The continuous steam output is up to 45 g/min.
- For stubborn creases, press the steam boost button for an extra shot of steam (up to 220 g/min).

3. Dry Ironing
- Ensure the water tank is empty or the steam control is set to the 'no steam' position.
- Set the temperature according to the fabric type.
- Proceed with ironing as usual.
4. Vertical Steaming
- Hang the garment on a hanger.
- Set the iron to a high temperature setting.
- Hold the iron vertically a few centimeters away from the fabric and press the steam boost button repeatedly.
- This function is suitable for removing creases from hanging clothes, curtains, etc.
5. Spray Function
- Press the spray button to moisten stubborn creases.
- Ensure the water tank contains water.
6. Eco Function
The Eco function helps to reduce energy consumption while still providing effective ironing results. Refer to the iron's controls for activating this feature.
7. Automatic Shut-off
For safety, the iron is equipped with an automatic shut-off feature. If left motionless horizontally for a certain period (e.g., 30 seconds) or vertically (e.g., 8 minutes), it will automatically turn off. The indicator light will flash to signal this. To restart, simply move the iron.
Maintenance and Care
1. Cleaning the Soleplate
- After each use, allow the iron to cool completely.
- Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metallic scouring pads.
- For stubborn stains, use a specialized soleplate cleaning stick (available separately).
2. Anti-Drip System
The anti-drip system prevents water from dripping onto your fabrics when ironing at low temperatures. If you notice dripping, ensure the iron has reached the correct temperature for steam ironing.
3. Anti-Calc System (Self-Cleaning)
The integrated anti-calc system helps to reduce limescale build-up and ensures long-lasting steam performance. For optimal maintenance, perform the self-cleaning process regularly (e.g., once a month, depending on water hardness).
- Fill the water tank to the MAX level.
- Set the steam control to 'no steam' and the temperature to maximum.
- Plug in the iron and wait for the indicator light to go out.
- Unplug the iron and hold it horizontally over a sink.
- Press and hold the self-clean button (if available, otherwise refer to specific model instructions for anti-calc procedure). Shake the iron gently to allow water and scale to flush out through the soleplate.
- Once the water tank is empty, plug the iron back in and let it heat up to dry the soleplate.
- Unplug and store the iron once cooled.
4. Storage
- Always unplug the iron and allow it to cool completely before storing.
- Empty the water tank after each use to prevent limescale build-up.
- Store the iron vertically on its heel in a safe, dry place.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Iron does not heat up. | Not plugged in; power outlet faulty; automatic shut-off activated. | Check power connection; try another outlet; move the iron to reactivate. |
| No steam or insufficient steam. | Water tank empty; temperature too low for steam; steam control set to 'no steam'; limescale build-up. | Fill water tank; set higher temperature; adjust steam control; perform anti-calc cleaning. |
| Water drips from the soleplate. | Temperature too low for steam; iron tilted too much. | Increase temperature; ensure iron is horizontal during steam use. |
| White flakes or brown stains on clothes. | Limescale in the water tank/steam chamber; residues on soleplate. | Perform anti-calc cleaning; clean soleplate. |
