  6. Power Connection: Connect the power cord to the main unit and then to a grounded 220V 50Hz power outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

General Operation

The station utilizes a microprocessor-PID system for precise, real-time temperature monitoring and control. The LCD display shows the current status and temperatures for both the soldering iron and hot air gun. Use the °C/°F switch to select your preferred temperature unit.

Soldering Iron Operation

  1. Power On: Flip the main power switch on the unit.
  2. Temperature Adjustment: Use the 'SOL-TEMP' knob to set the desired temperature for the soldering iron. The LCD will display the set temperature and then the actual tip temperature.
  3. Sleep Function: The soldering iron features an automatic sleep function. If left static for a user-defined period (0-99 minutes, adjustable), the tip temperature will automatically drop to 200°C. This prevents oxidation and extends tip lifespan. To reactivate, simply pick up the iron.
  4. Applications: This soldering iron is suitable for various applications, including SOIC, CHIP, QFP, PLCC, and BGA components.

Hot Air Gun Operation

  1. Power On: Ensure the main power switch is on.
  2. Temperature Adjustment: Use the 'AIR-TEMP' knob to set the desired hot air temperature. The LCD will display the set temperature and then the actual air output temperature.
  3. Airflow Adjustment: Use the 'AIR' knob to adjust the airflow rate. The maximum airflow is 28 liters per minute.
  4. Nozzle Selection: Choose an appropriate nozzle for your application and attach it securely to the hot air gun.
  5. Anti-Blocking Function: For safety, if the hot air gun's fan unexpectedly stops, the system will immediately cut off power to the heating element, preventing overheating and potential damage.

Smoke Absorber Operation

  1. Activate: Flip the 'SMOKE ABSORBER' switch to the ON position.
  2. Function: The smoke absorber will draw in fumes and smoke generated during soldering and desoldering, passing them through a filter to purify the air. This provides a healthier working environment and prevents fumes from settling on components.

6. Maintenance

  • Soldering Iron Tip Cleaning: Regularly clean the soldering iron tip using the included cleaning sponge (dampened with water) or brass wool. This helps prevent oxidation and ensures efficient heat transfer.
  • Smoke Filter Replacement: The smoke filters should be replaced periodically, depending on usage, to maintain effective fume extraction. Refer to the filter compartment for instructions on replacement.
  • General Unit Cleaning: Keep the main unit and tools clean and free of dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: When not in use, ensure the unit is unplugged and cooled down. Store it in a dry, safe place.

7. Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit does not power on. No power supply; power switch off; faulty power cord. Check power connection and outlet; ensure power switch is ON; inspect power cord for damage.
Soldering iron/Hot air gun not heating. Temperature set too low; faulty heating element; loose connection. Increase temperature setting; check connections; contact support if heating element is suspected faulty.
Hot air gun has no airflow. Airflow setting too low; fan blocked; anti-blocking function activated. Increase airflow setting; check for obstructions; if anti-blocking activated, ensure fan is clear and restart.
Smoke absorber not effective. Filter is clogged or needs replacement; absorber switch off. Check if smoke absorber is ON; replace the smoke filter.
