1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the ZMOL Battery Operated Electric Pencil Sharpener. This compact and efficient sharpener is designed for quick and precise sharpening of various pencil types, making it ideal for students, artists, and office use. Please read this manual carefully before use to ensure proper operation and maintenance.

2. Package Contents

3. Safety Information

  • Keep out of reach of small children. The sharpener contains sharp blades.
  • Do not insert fingers or foreign objects into the sharpening hole.
  • Do not attempt to sharpen woodless pencils, crayons, or pastels, as this may damage the sharpener.
  • Ensure batteries are inserted with correct polarity.
  • Remove batteries if the sharpener will not be used for an extended period.
  • Do not immerse the sharpener in water or any other liquid.

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the sharpener.
  2. Slide the battery cover open.
  3. Insert 2 AA batteries (not included) according to the polarity indicators (+/-) inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery cover securely.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Sharpening a Pencil

  1. Hold the sharpener firmly with one hand.
  2. Insert the pencil into the sharpening hole. The sharpener will automatically begin to operate when pressure is applied.
  3. Apply gentle downward pressure. The sharpening process typically takes 3-5 seconds.
  4. The blade will continue to turn after sharpening, but it will not over-sharpen the pencil, preventing wastage. You will feel a change in resistance when the pencil is sharp.
  5. Remove the pencil once sharpened.

5.2 Pencil Compatibility

This sharpener is designed for standard 6-8mm pencils, including:

  • No.2 pencils
  • Colored pencils
  • Round pencils
  • Hexagonal pencils
  • Triangular pencils

Note: Not suitable for very soft charcoal pencils or woodless pencils.

5.3 Product Demonstration Video

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

6.1 Emptying Shavings

  1. Turn the top lid of the sharpener counter-clockwise to unlock and remove it.
  2. Carefully empty the pencil shavings into a waste bin.
  3. Realign the lid and turn it clockwise to secure it back in place.

6.2 Replacing Blades

The sharpener comes with 2 spare blades. Each blade is designed for extended use (over 300 sharpenings).

  1. Remove the top lid as described in section 6.1.
  2. Carefully remove the old blade holder by gently pulling it upwards.
  3. Insert a new blade holder, ensuring it clicks securely into place.
  4. Reattach the top lid.

7. Troubleshooting
