4.1. Modes of Operation

The Core FXQ38 offers three distinct modes to optimize image clarity across different environments:

  • Forest Mode: Optimized for viewing in dense wooded areas, enhancing contrast for targets against foliage.
  • Rocks Mode: Designed for rocky or mountainous terrain, providing improved detail and thermal differentiation.
  • Identification Mode: Offers the highest level of detail for precise target identification.

Switch between modes using the dedicated control buttons on the top of the unit. Refer to the on-screen interface for current mode selection.

4.2. Digital Zoom

The device features a 2x digital zoom. Activate the digital zoom to magnify the image for closer inspection of distant objects. Note that digital zoom may reduce image resolution compared to optical magnification.

4.3. Monocular and Front Attachment Use

The Core FXQ38 can be used as a handheld thermal monocular for observation or attached to a riflescope as a thermal front attachment. To convert to a riflescope attachment, remove the monocular eyepiece and attach the appropriate adapter (sold separately) to your riflescope's objective lens. This allows for seamless integration without affecting the riflescope's zero.
