1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the operation and maintenance of your Searick 16G MP3 Player with Bluetooth 4.2. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the device to ensure proper functionality and to maximize your user experience.

2. Product Overview and Package Contents

The Searick MP3 Player is a portable device designed for music playback, FM radio, voice recording, video viewing, photo browsing, and e-book reading. It features a 2.4-inch LCD screen and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity.

3. Device Layout and Controls

Familiarize yourself with the physical components and controls of your MP3 player.

  1. Headphone/Earphone Jack: Connect wired headphones here.
  2. USB Port: For charging the device and transferring data to/from a computer.
  3. Volume +/Previous Song: Press briefly to increase volume; press and hold to go to the previous song.
  4. Volume -/Next Song: Press briefly to decrease volume; press and hold to go to the next song.
  5. Power Button: Press and hold to turn the device on/off. Briefly press to lock/unlock the screen.
  6. TF Card Port: Insert a Micro TF card (up to 128GB, not included) for expanded storage.
  7. Touch Panel, Display Screen: The primary interface for navigating the device.

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the MP3 player. Connect the device to a computer's USB port or a USB wall adapter (not included) using the provided USB cable. A full charge typically takes 2.5-3 hours and provides up to 40 hours of music playback.

4.2 Inserting a Micro TF Card

To expand storage, insert a Micro TF card (up to 128GB, not included) into the TF Card Port (6). Ensure the card is inserted correctly until it clicks into place. To remove, gently push the card until it springs out.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Touch System Navigation

The device features a 2.4-inch HD color touchscreen for navigation.

  • To open a function: Tap the corresponding icon.
  • To navigate to the next page: Slide upward ↑.
  • To navigate to the previous page: Slide downward ↓.
  • To return to the previous menu: Slide leftward ←.
  • To access a sub-menu: Slide rightward →.

5.2 Music Playback

The MP3 player supports various audio formats including MP3, WMA, APE, FLAC, and WAV. You can listen via wired headphones, Bluetooth headphones, or the built-in speaker.

  • Supported Formats: MP3, WMA, APE, FLAC, WAV.
  • Equalizer Settings: Customize your audio experience with preset choices like Rock, Funk, Hip hop, Jazz, Classical, Techno, or create your own.
  • Built-in Speaker: Enjoy music without headphones.

5.3 Bluetooth Connectivity

The device features Bluetooth 4.2 for connecting to wireless headphones or Bluetooth speakers. This provides a fast and stable connection with high-fidelity lossless sound.

Important Note: This portable MP3 player is not a Bluetooth receiver and cannot pair with mobile phones or other Bluetooth-enabled smart devices.

5.4 FM Radio

The built-in FM tuner supports both manual and auto-tune functions. For optimal reception, connect wired earphones as they act as the antenna.

5.5 Voice Recorder

The device includes a voice recorder function, supporting MP3, WAV, and ACT formats for recordings.

5.6 Video and Photo Viewing

View videos in AMV and AVI formats, and browse pictures in JPG and BMP formats on the 2.4-inch LCD screen.

5.7 E-Book Reader

The MP3 player supports e-books in TXT format.

5.8 File Transfer

Connect the MP3 player to your computer using the provided USB cable. The device will appear as a removable disk, allowing you to drag and drop music, video, photo, and e-book files directly onto its internal storage or an inserted TF card.

6. Maintenance

  • Keep the device dry. Moisture can damage electronic components.
  • Clean the screen and body with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Avoid extreme temperatures. Do not expose the device to direct sunlight for extended periods or to very cold environments.
  • Protect the screen from scratches.
  • Battery life: The built-in battery provides approximately 40 hours of music playback. Battery performance may decrease over time with regular use.

7. Troubleshooting

Device Not Turning On or Crashing

If the MP3 player fails to turn on or experiences a system crash, locate the reset hole on the device. Insert a thin needle or paperclip into the reset hole and gently press to restart the machine. This action will not delete your data.
