Once batteries are installed in both units, the base station will automatically search for the outdoor sensor signal. This may take a few minutes. Ensure both units are within range of each other.
4.2 Placement
For accurate readings and optimal signal transmission, consider the following placement guidelines:
- Base Station: Place the main unit indoors, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and drafts. It can be placed on a table using its integrated stand or mounted on a wall.
- Outdoor Sensor: Position the outdoor sensor in a shaded, dry location, protected from direct rain and sunlight, to ensure accurate temperature and humidity measurements. While it is designed for outdoor use, extreme weather conditions can affect its performance and lifespan. The wireless transmission range is up to 60 meters (197 feet) in open areas. Walls and other obstacles may reduce this range.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Clean the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Always replace all batteries in a unit at the same time.
- Outdoor Sensor Care: To prolong the life of the outdoor sensor and ensure accurate readings, it is recommended to place it in a cool, dry place, protected from direct weather elements.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No display on base station or sensor. | Batteries are dead or incorrectly inserted. | Check battery polarity and replace with fresh batteries. |
| Outdoor temperature/humidity not displayed or flashing. | No signal from outdoor sensor; sensor out of range or interference. |
|
| Inaccurate temperature/humidity readings. | Improper placement of sensor or base station. |
|
| Weather forecast symbols do not match actual weather. | Weather forecast is based on humidity changes, not satellite data. | This is normal. The device predicts weather trends based on local atmospheric pressure changes, which may not always align perfectly with official forecasts. Allow 24-48 hours for the station to calibrate after initial setup. |
