Setup Guide
- Download the HBN Smart App: Search for "HBN Smart" in your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android) and download the application.
- Register/Log In: Open the HBN Smart app and follow the on-screen instructions to register a new account or log in if you already have one.
- Plug In the Smart Plug: Insert the HBN Smart Plug Mini into a standard 125V AC wall outlet. Ensure the indicator light on the plug begins to blink rapidly. If it does not blink rapidly, press and hold the power button on the plug for 5-10 seconds until it starts blinking.
- Add Device in App: In the HBN Smart app, tap the "+" icon (usually in the top right corner) to add a new device. Select "Electrical" and then "Socket (Wi-Fi)" or similar option.
- Connect to Wi-Fi: Confirm that the indicator light on the smart plug is blinking rapidly. Enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network name and password. The smart plug only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. If your router broadcasts both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks with the same name, you may need to temporarily disable the 5GHz band or ensure your phone is connected to the 2.4GHz band during setup.
- Pairing: The app will begin searching for the device. Once found, it will connect and add the smart plug to your account. This process may take a few moments.
- Rename Device: After successful pairing, you can rename the smart plug to something easily recognizable (e.g., "Living Room Lamp," "Coffee Maker"). This name will be used for voice control.
- Integrate with Voice Assistants (Optional):
- For Amazon Alexa: Open the Alexa app, go to "Skills & Games," search for "HBN Smart," enable the skill, and link your HBN Smart account. Then, discover devices.
- For Google Home Assistant: Open the Google Home app, tap "Add" > "Set up device" > "Works with Google," search for "HBN Smart," and link your HBN Smart account.
