2. Important Safety Information

6. Setup
6.1 Placement
The VMAI Sound Bar offers flexible placement options:
- Desktop Placement: Place the sound bar on a flat, stable surface directly in front of your TV.
- Wall Mounting: Use the included wall mounting kit to securely attach the sound bar to a wall below your TV. Ensure the wall material can support the weight of the sound bar.

6.2 Connecting to Your TV/Device
Choose one of the following connection methods:
- HDMI ARC (Recommended): Connect an HDMI cable (not included) from the HDMI (ARC) port on the sound bar to the HDMI ARC port on your TV. This allows for audio return channel functionality, simplifying control.
- Optical Connection: Connect the included optical cable from the OPT port on the sound bar to the Optical Digital Audio Out port on your TV. Important: Before using, ensure your TV's audio output is set to PCM.
- AUX Connection: Use the included RCA to 3.5mm cable to connect the AUX port on the sound bar to the audio output (headphone jack or RCA L/R) on your TV or other audio device.
- USB Connection: Insert a USB flash drive (formatted to FAT32) into the USB port to play audio files directly. This port is for flash drives only.

6.3 Power Connection
Connect the supplied power adapter to the 'DC IN' port on the sound bar, then plug the adapter into a wall outlet.
7. Operation
7.1 Power On/Off
Press the 'Power/Mode' button on the sound bar or the remote control to turn the unit on or off.
7.2 Input Selection
Press the 'Power/Mode' button repeatedly on the sound bar or the 'MODE' button on the remote control to cycle through the available input modes (HDMI ARC, Optical, AUX, USB, Bluetooth).
7.3 Bluetooth Pairing
To pair your Bluetooth device:
- Turn on the sound bar and switch to Bluetooth mode (BT will appear on the display).
- Enable Bluetooth on your device (smartphone, tablet, etc.).
- Search for 'Vmai S5' in your device's Bluetooth list and select it to connect.
- Once connected, you can play audio from your device through the sound bar.
