3. Setup

Before using your MaxiPRO MP900-BT Scanner, ensure it is fully charged and connected to a stable internet connection via Wi-Fi. A good internet connection is crucial for software updates, online functions, and accessing certain vehicle authentication services.

3.1 Initial Power-On and Configuration

  1. Charge the Device: Connect the power adapter to the scanner and a power outlet. Allow the device to charge fully before first use.
  2. Power On: Press and hold the power button until the screen illuminates.
  3. Initial Setup: Follow the on-screen prompts to select your language, time zone, and connect to a Wi-Fi network.

3.2 Connecting the MaxiVCI V150

The MaxiVCI V150 is the vehicle communication interface that connects the scanner to your vehicle's OBDII port.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 OE Full Systems Diagnostics

This function allows for comprehensive scanning of all available electronic control modules (ECUs) in the vehicle.

  1. Select 'Diagnostics': From the main menu, tap on the 'Diagnostics' icon.
  2. Vehicle Identification: Choose 'AutoVIN' for automatic vehicle identification or 'Manual Input' to enter VIN/vehicle details manually. The 8MP camera can also be used for VIN/License plate scanning.
  3. Auto Scan: Select 'Auto Scan' to perform a full system scan. The scanner will read ECU information, retrieve diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), and display live data.
  4. Review Data: View live data in various formats (text, graph, histogram, meter diagram), analyze freeze frame data, and perform active tests to pinpoint issues.

4.2 ECU Functions (Coding & Activation)
