7. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your AUTOWIKI Fog Lights, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the lens with a soft cloth and mild soap solution to remove dirt and debris. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the lens.
  • Inspection: Periodically check the fog light assemblies for any signs of damage, loose connections, or moisture intrusion.
  • Bulb Replacement: If a bulb burns out, replace it with an 899 12V 37.5W halogen bulb to maintain proper light output and compliance.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your fog lights, consider the following:

  • Lights Not Working: Check the bulb for damage or burnout. Verify all electrical connections are secure. Inspect the vehicle's fuse box for a blown fuse related to the fog lights.
  • Dim or Flickering Lights: This could indicate a loose connection, a failing bulb, or an issue with the vehicle's electrical system.
  • Moisture Inside Lens: While designed to be waterproof, extreme temperature changes can sometimes cause temporary condensation. If persistent moisture or water accumulation is observed, inspect the sealing and housing for damage.

For persistent issues, consult a qualified automotive technician.

9. Safety and Compliance

These fog lights are DOT (Department of Transportation) certified and SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) compliant, ensuring they meet rigorous safety and performance standards for use on public roads.
