4.1. Measure Your Truck Bed
Before ordering or installing, accurately measure your truck bed length to ensure compatibility. Measure the floor of the truck bed from the bulkhead (front wall) to the rear of the truck bed with the tailgate down. Round to the nearest inch. For example, 67 inches is 5 feet 7 inches. Truck bed sizes are typically about a foot longer than the next, so if your measurement is within a few inches of a standard size, you are likely good. If it's more than 6 inches off, re-measure.

4.2. General Installation Steps
The following steps outline the general installation process. Refer to the detailed installation video for a complete visual guide.

- Prepare the Bulkhead: Clean the bulkhead surface with rubbing alcohol to remove any oily residues or dirt. For textured surfaces like spray-in bedliners, dab the alcohol; for painted surfaces, wipe it.
- Install Bulkhead Seal: Apply the bulkhead seal across the top edge of the bulkhead, as far away from the cab as possible but just before the surface starts to round down. Pull off about 6 inches of tape protector, align it, and press it firmly into place. Trim any excess with scissors.
- Install Side Rails: Position the driver's side rail with the prop rod facing inward and the drain cup towards the bulkhead. The rail should hang on top of the bed cap and slide all the way up against the bulkhead.
- Attach Clamps: The clamp locations are typically directly above the wheel wells and at the rear. Some locations may require shims to ensure a tight fit and prevent the rail from deforming. Peel back the adhesive protector on the shim and place it high up in the gap between the bed cap and the rail.
- Secure Rails with Clamps: Disassemble the clamps by removing the bolt and washer. Take the half of the clamp with the large oval hole. Set the rail back in place, rotate it up, and press the clamp in, then rotate it down to lock it into the rail. Repeat for all clamp locations.
- Tighten Clamps: Insert the bolt through the threaded hole in the clamp and tighten it down with a 1/2" ratchet or wrench to 10 ft-lbs.
- Attach Drain Tubes: Attach the drain tube to the drain cup on the rail. Route the drain tube through an available hole in the truck bed. Measure and cut the tube with scissors to ensure it extends out of the bed without kinking. Repeat for the passenger side.
- Prepare Cover Retaining Clamps: On the cover, locate the clip receivers. The opening on the clip receiver should face towards the clip. Secure the small screws into the holes on the header panel using a Phillips head screwdriver.
- Install Cover on Rails: With assistance, carefully set the folded cover on top of the installed rails, just behind the bulkhead. Ensure it is centered side-to-side. It may latch into position. Slide the cover all the way forward until it contacts the bulkhead.
- Secure Cover to Rails: Underneath the cover, locate the cover retaining clamps. Lower the clamp down so that the notch on the top side of the clamp can slide over and trap the rail. Ensure the notch on the back side of the clamp also stays engaged into the track. Tighten the clamp down until it is snug. Repeat for all retaining clamps.
