1. Introduction

The Sony WI-XB400 Wireless In-Ear Headphones are designed for comfortable, portable audio with enhanced bass. These lightweight headphones offer wireless connectivity via Bluetooth technology, providing up to 15 hours of battery life. They feature 12mm driver units for clear sound and an integrated microphone for hands-free calling.

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Headphones

Open the USB Type-C port cover located on the control unit.
Connect the supplied USB Type-C cable to the charging port on the headphones.
Connect the other end of the USB Type-C cable to a powered USB charging adapter or a computer's USB port.
The indicator light will illuminate red during charging and turn off when charging is complete. A full charge takes approximately 3 hours.

4.2 Bluetooth Pairing

Ensure the headphones are turned off.
Press and hold the power button for approximately 7 seconds until the indicator light flashes blue and red alternately. This indicates pairing mode.
On your Bluetooth device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
Select "WI-XB400" from the list of detected devices.
Once connected, the indicator light will flash blue slowly.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

To Power On: Press and hold the power button until the indicator light flashes blue.
To Power Off: Press and hold the power button until the indicator light turns off.

5.2 Music Playback

Play/Pause: Press the multi-function button (center button on the control unit) once.
Next Track: Press the multi-function button twice quickly.
Previous Track: Press the multi-function button three times quickly.
Volume Up: Press the '+' button.
Volume Down: Press the '-' button.

5.3 Phone Calls

Answer/End Call: Press the multi-function button once.
Reject Call: Press and hold the multi-function button for approximately 2 seconds.

5.4 Voice Assistant

Activate Voice Assistant: Press and hold the multi-function button for approximately 2 seconds (when not on a call).

6. Maintenance

Cleaning: Wipe the headphones with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use alcohol, benzene, thinner, or other chemical cleaners.
Eartips: Regularly remove and clean the eartips with a mild soap solution and water. Ensure they are completely dry before reattaching.
Storage: When not in use, store the headphones in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. The magnetic earbuds can be connected to prevent tangling.
Water Resistance: While water-resistant, avoid prolonged exposure to water or submerging the headphones. Ensure the USB Type-C port cover is securely closed.

7. Troubleshooting

Problem	Solution
No power	Charge the headphones using the supplied USB Type-C cable. Ensure the charging cable is properly connected and the power source is active.
Cannot pair with Bluetooth device	Ensure the headphones are in pairing mode (indicator flashes blue and red alternately). Make sure the Bluetooth function on your device is enabled. Move the headphones closer to the Bluetooth device. Delete "WI-XB400" from your device's Bluetooth list and try pairing again.
No sound or low volume	Increase the volume on both the headphones and the connected device. Ensure the headphones are properly connected to the Bluetooth device. Check if the eartips fit snugly in your ears. Incorrectly sized eartips can affect sound quality.
Sound skips or cuts out	Move the headphones closer to the Bluetooth device. Avoid obstacles between the headphones and the device. Avoid using the headphones near other wireless devices that may cause interference.
