Setup

Follow these steps for initial setup:

  1. Unpack the vacuum sealer and all accessories from the box.
  2. Place the machine on a flat, stable, and dry surface.
  3. Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a compatible electrical outlet.
  4. Familiarize yourself with the control panel buttons: Canister, Mode, Food, Vac Seal, Seal, Stop.

Operating Instructions

Using the Built-in Cutter

The built-in cutter allows you to create custom-sized bags from vacuum sealer rolls.

  1. Place the vacuum sealer roll into the designated slot.
  2. Pull the desired length of bag material across the cutting bar.
  3. Slide the cutter across the bag material to create a clean cut.

Vacuum Sealing Food

Follow these steps to vacuum seal food items:

  1. Place the food item inside a GERYON vacuum sealer bag, ensuring at least 3 inches of space between the food and the top of the bag.
  2. Open the lid of the vacuum sealer and place the open end of the bag into the vacuum chamber, ensuring it lies flat across the sealing strip.
  3. Close the lid firmly until both sides click into place.
  4. Select the appropriate food mode: Dry for dry items or Moist for moist items.
  5. Press the Vac Seal button. The machine will automatically vacuum the air and then seal the bag.
  6. Once the process is complete, the indicator lights will turn off. Press the release buttons on the sides to open the lid and remove the sealed bag.

Using Dry and Moist Food Modes

The GERYON vacuum sealer offers two distinct modes for optimal preservation:

  • Dry Mode: Ideal for solid food items without moisture, such as nuts, grains, or dried fruits.
  • Moist Mode: Suitable for food items with some moisture, like raw meats, fish, or simmered foods. This mode ensures a stronger seal to prevent leakage.

Sealing Only

To seal a bag without vacuuming, such as for snack bags or pre-sealed items:

  1. Place the open end of the bag onto the sealing strip.
  2. Close the lid firmly until both sides click into place.
  3. Press the Seal button. The machine will only heat seal the bag.
  4. Once complete, release the lid and remove the sealed bag.

Vacuum Sealing Canisters or Wine Stoppers

The accessory port and hose can be used to vacuum seal compatible canisters or wine stoppers.

  1. Connect one end of the air suction hose to the accessory port on the vacuum sealer.
  2. Connect the other end of the hose to the port on your vacuum-sealable canister or wine stopper.
  3. Press the Canister button. The machine will vacuum air from the container.
  4. Once vacuuming is complete, disconnect the hose.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Machine

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and hygiene.

  • Always unplug the machine before cleaning.
  • The upper lid of the GERYON vacuum sealer is detachable for easy and safe cleaning. Gently lift and remove the upper lid.
  • Wipe down the sealing strip and vacuum chamber with a damp cloth and mild soap. Ensure no food particles are left behind.
  • Dry all components thoroughly before reassembling and storing.

Storage

Store the vacuum sealer in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the lid is not latched down during storage to prevent compression of the sealing gaskets, which can affect future sealing performance.
