3.3 RAM Installation
Open the clips on both ends of the DDR4 DIMM slots. Align the notch on your RAM module with the notch in the DIMM slot. Insert the RAM module firmly until the clips snap into place. For dual-channel operation, refer to your motherboard's specific manual for recommended slot configurations.
3.4 M.2 SSD Installation
The motherboard features dual M.2 slots, with one equipped with a thermal guard. To install an M.2 SSD, remove the thermal guard (if present) and the M.2 standoff screw. Insert the M.2 SSD into the slot at an angle, then gently push it down and secure it with the standoff screw. Reattach the thermal guard if applicable, ensuring the thermal pad makes contact with the SSD.
3.5 Graphics Card (PCIe) Installation
Locate the primary PCIe 4.0 x16 slot (often reinforced with metal shielding). Open the retention clip at the end of the slot. Align your graphics card with the slot and press firmly until it clicks into place. Secure the card to your PC case with screws.

3.6 Power Connections
Connect the 24-pin ATX main power connector and the 8-pin CPU power connector from your power supply to the corresponding ports on the motherboard. Ensure all connections are secure.
3.7 I/O Panel Connections
Connect your peripherals to the integrated I/O shield. This includes USB devices, Ethernet cable, audio devices, and the Wi-Fi antenna. The motherboard features multiple USB 3.1 Gen2 (red), USB 3.0 (blue), and USB 2.0 ports, along with an HDMI port (if your CPU has integrated graphics), Gigabit LAN, and audio jacks.

3.8 BIOS Q-Flash Plus
The Q-Flash Plus feature allows you to update the BIOS without installing the CPU, memory, or graphics card. Download the latest BIOS file from the GIGABYTE website, rename it to GIGABYTE.bin, and save it to a FAT32/16 formatted USB flash drive. Insert the USB drive into the designated white BIOS Q-Flash USB port on the rear I/O panel. Connect the 8-pin CPU and 24-pin main power connectors. Press the Q-Flash Plus button; the system will automatically update the BIOS. Wait for the QFLED to stop flashing (2-3 minutes) to confirm completion.

4. Operating
After successful installation, power on your system. The motherboard will perform a Power-On Self-Test (POST). Access the BIOS/UEFI setup by pressing the designated key (usually DEL or F2) during startup to configure system settings, boot order, and enable features like XMP for memory or PCIe 4.0 for compatible devices.
4.1 RGB Fusion 2.0
Utilize the GIGABYTE RGB Fusion 2.0 software to customize the lighting effects of your motherboard's integrated LEDs and any connected RGB/Addressable LED strips. This software allows for multi-zone control and synchronization with other compatible AORUS devices.
4.2 Smart Fan 5
The Smart Fan 5 utility provides comprehensive control over your system's cooling. It allows you to monitor temperatures from multiple sensors, configure fan curves, and utilize the FAN STOP feature to halt fans during low-load scenarios for silent operation.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your motherboard and PC components.
- Dust Removal: Periodically clean dust from your PC case and motherboard components using compressed air. Pay special attention to heatsinks and fan blades.
- BIOS Updates: Keep your BIOS updated to the latest version to ensure compatibility with new hardware and to benefit from performance improvements and bug fixes. Use the Q-Flash Plus feature or the in-BIOS update utility.
- Driver Updates: Ensure all motherboard drivers (chipset, LAN, Wi-Fi, audio) are up-to-date. Download the latest drivers from the GIGABYTE official website.
- Cable Management: Proper cable management improves airflow and reduces dust accumulation.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- No Power/No POST: Double-check all power connections (24-pin ATX, 8-pin CPU). Ensure RAM modules are correctly seated. Try booting with only essential components (CPU, one RAM stick, graphics card).
- BIOS Issues: If BIOS update fails or causes instability, use the Q-Flash Plus feature to re-flash a stable BIOS version. Clear CMOS by shorting the CLR_CMOS pins or removing the CMOS battery for a few minutes.
- Network Connectivity: If experiencing Wi-Fi or LAN issues, ensure drivers are installed correctly. Check physical cable connections for LAN. Verify Wi-Fi antenna is securely attached.
- Overheating: Ensure all fans are spinning correctly and heatsinks are free of dust. Verify thermal paste application on the CPU. Check M.2 thermal guard is properly installed.
