Safety Information

  • Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or moisture.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Use only specified battery types. Ensure correct polarity when inserting batteries.
  • Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
  • Dispose of batteries according to local regulations.
  • Avoid placing the transmitter on metal surfaces, as this can reduce signal range.

Setup and Installation

1. Installing Batteries in the Receiver

  1. Open the battery compartment on the back of the doorbell receiver.
  2. Insert 3x AA batteries (not included) into the compartment, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment securely.

3. Pairing (Auto-Learning Function)

The doorbell receiver and push button transmitter are automatically paired upon initial battery insertion. If re-pairing is needed or if adding additional transmitters/receivers:

  1. Ensure both the receiver and transmitter have fresh batteries.
  2. Press and hold the pairing button on the receiver (refer to Figure 4 for button location) until the LED indicator flashes.
  3. Within a few seconds, press the push button transmitter. The receiver will chime, indicating successful pairing.

4. Mounting the Components

  • Push Button Transmitter: Mount the transmitter next to your entrance door using the provided adhesive pad or screws. Ensure it is protected from direct heavy rain if possible. Avoid mounting on large metal surfaces to maintain optimal range.
  • Doorbell Receiver: The receiver is portable. You can place it on any flat surface or hang it on a wall using the integrated hanging hole on the back.

Operating Instructions

1. Adjusting Volume and Melodies

The doorbell receiver features buttons on its side for adjusting settings.

  • Volume Control: Press the volume button (often marked with a speaker icon or +/-) to cycle through 5 volume levels (100%, 75%, 50%, 25%, 0% - silent mode).
  • Melody Selection: Press the melody selection button (often marked with a music note) to cycle through the 16 available melodies.
  • Mode Selection: The doorbell offers 3 modes: ring + visual signal, ring only, and visual signal only (silent mode). Use the mode button (often marked with a lightbulb/speaker icon) to switch between these modes.

2. Repeater Function

The EMOS P5763 can act as a repeater to extend the wireless range. This is useful for large properties or when the signal needs to pass through multiple walls.

  • To use the repeater function, you will need multiple EMOS P5763 receivers or compatible P5760 plug-in receivers.
  • Pair the first receiver with the push button transmitter as described in the 'Setup' section.
  • To extend the range, place a second receiver within 120 meters of the first receiver (or the transmitter if it's closer).
  • Pair the second receiver with the first receiver by following the pairing instructions. The second receiver will then 'repeat' the signal from the first, effectively extending the overall range. This process can be repeated with additional receivers for virtually unlimited range.

Figure 5: Illustration of the repeater function for extended range.

3. Memory Function

The device is equipped with a memory function. All your selected settings (melody, volume, mode) are automatically saved and will be restored even after battery replacement or a power outage.

4. Emergency Call System

The EMOS P5763 can also be utilized as a simple emergency call system for individuals who may need assistance, such as the elderly, pregnant women, patients, or children. By placing the push button within easy reach, a press will alert the receiver's location.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Clean the doorbell and push button with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: The red LED diode on the receiver indicates a low battery level. Replace batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation.
  • Transmitter Battery: The CR2032 battery in the transmitter typically lasts for an extended period. Replace it when the signal becomes weak or inconsistent.
