This compact system combines modern digital radio reception (DAB/DAB+) with traditional FM radio, a CD player, Bluetooth connectivity, USB playback, and AUX input. It features a clear TFT display and can be controlled via remote or app. This manual provides essential information for safe and efficient operation of your device.

Safety Instructions

• Read all instructions carefully before use and retain them for future reference.

The Auna DAB Portable Radio is designed for versatile audio playback. It features a CD player compatible with standard audio CDs and MP3 CDs, a USB port for media playback, and Bluetooth for wireless streaming from compatible devices. The unit supports DAB, DAB+, and FM radio, providing access to a wide range of stations. Its integrated Wi-Fi allows for internet radio streaming and Spotify Connect functionality. The clear TFT display provides easy navigation and information at a glance.

Setup

1. Initial Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the unit from its packaging. Retain the packaging for future transport or storage.
2. Placement: Place the radio on a stable, flat surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
3. Power Connection: Connect the supplied power adapter to the DC IN port on the back of the unit, then plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet (100-240V~, 50-60Hz).
4. Antenna: Extend the telescopic antenna fully for optimal FM and DAB/DAB+ radio reception. Adjust its position for the best signal.
5. Remote Control Batteries: Insert 2 x R6 AAA 1.5V batteries (not included) into the remote control, observing polarity.

2. Network Connection (Wi-Fi)

To access Internet Radio and Spotify Connect, the unit must be connected to a Wi-Fi network.

1. Power on the unit.
2. Navigate to the "Settings" menu using the control knob or remote.
3. Select "Network" or "Wi-Fi Setup".
4. Choose "Scan Network" to find available Wi-Fi networks.
5. Select your desired network from the list.
6. Enter the Wi-Fi password using the on-screen keyboard and the control knob. Confirm your entry.
7. Once connected, the unit will display a confirmation message.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

• Press the STANDBY button on the unit or remote control to turn the unit on or off.

2. Mode Selection

• Press the FUNCTION button on the unit or the corresponding mode buttons on the remote control (e.g., DAB, FM, CD, Bluetooth, USB, AUX, Internet Radio) to switch between different audio sources.

3. Radio Operation (DAB/DAB+ and FM)

1. Select DAB or FM mode.
2. For DAB, the unit will automatically scan for available stations upon first use. For FM, press the SCAN button to auto-scan.
3. Use the TUNING / SKIP buttons or the control knob to navigate through available stations.
4. To save a preset, press and hold the PRESET button (if available on remote) or navigate to the preset menu and follow on-screen instructions.

4. CD Player Operation

1. Select CD mode.
2. Gently insert a CD into the disc slot with the label side facing up. The unit will automatically load the disc.
3. Playback will begin automatically. Use the PLAY/PAUSE, STOP, and TUNING / SKIP buttons to control playback.

5. Bluetooth Pairing

1. Select Bluetooth mode on the unit. The display will show "Pairing" or "Waiting for connection".
2. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone, tablet, or other compatible device.
3. Search for "Auna Harvard" or similar in your device's Bluetooth list and select it to pair.
4. Once connected, you can stream audio wirelessly from your device to the radio.

6. USB Playback

• Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port on the front of the unit.
• Select USB mode. The unit will automatically detect and play compatible audio files (e.g., MP3).
• Use the navigation buttons to browse folders and tracks.

7. AUX Input

• Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone) to the AUX IN port using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).
• Select AUX mode. Audio from the connected device will play through the radio's speakers.

8. Alarm and Timer Functions

• Access the "Alarm" or "Timer" settings through the main menu.
• Follow the on-screen prompts to set alarm times, snooze duration, and sleep timer.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Disconnect the power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the unit. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
• CD Player: To clean the CD lens, use a commercially available CD lens cleaner.
• Storage: If the unit will not be used for an extended period, unplug it from the power outlet and store it in a cool, dry place.
