Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your DROP ALT Mechanical Keyboard. The DROP ALT is a compact 65% (67-key) mechanical keyboard featuring hot-swappable switches, customizable RGB lighting, and a durable aluminum frame. Setup

1. Unpack the Keyboard: Carefully remove the keyboard and accessories from the packaging.
2. Attach Magnetic Feet (Optional): The keyboard comes with magnetic feet that can be attached to the bottom for adjusting the typing angle. These can be swapped to change the tilt.

3. Connect the USB-C Cable: Connect one end of the provided USB-C cable to either of the two USB-C ports on the keyboard. Connect the other end to an available USB port on your computer. The keyboard supports USB-C to USB-C or USB-A to USB-C connections.

Customizable RGB Backlighting

Hot-Swappable Switches

1. Remove Keycap: Use the included keycap puller to gently remove the desired keycap.
2. Remove Switch: Use the included switch puller to carefully grip the top and bottom clips of the switch and pull it straight up.
3. Insert New Switch: Align the pins of the new switch with the holes in the PCB. Press the switch firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure the pins are not bent.
4. Replace Keycap: Place the keycap back onto the new switch stem.

Programmable Macros and Firmware

The DROP ALT keyboard supports QMK firmware, allowing for advanced customization of key assignments, macros, and lighting effects.
