4. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your Cudy MF4 hotspot:

4.1 Installing the SIM Card and Battery

  1. Remove the back cover of the device.
  2. Insert your standard-sized SIM card into the SIM card slot with the gold contacts facing down and the notched corner aligned correctly.
  3. Insert the rechargeable battery into the battery compartment.
  4. Replace the back cover.

4.2 Charging the Device

  1. Connect the Micro USB cable to the device's Micro USB port.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
  3. The power indicator will show charging status. Charge the device fully before first use.

  1. Press and hold the Power button until the indicators light up.

5.2 Accessing the Web Management Interface

To configure advanced settings, such as changing the Wi-Fi name or password, or checking data usage:

  1. Ensure your device is connected to the MF4's Wi-Fi network.
  2. Open a web browser and enter the default IP address (usually 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1) found in the Quick Installation Guide or on the device label.
  3. Enter the default username and password (also found in the guide or on the device).
  4. You can now access and modify various settings.

To turn off the device, press and hold the Power button until the indicators turn off.
