Setup

1. Charging the Keyboard

  1. Connect the supplied USB-C cable to the charging port on the keyboard.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
  3. The LED indicator on the keyboard will show charging status. A full charge provides approximately 15 days of use with backlighting, or over 10 months with backlighting off.

2. Connecting to Your Device

The MX Mechanical Mini keyboard supports connection via Bluetooth Low Energy or the Logi Bolt USB receiver.

Via Logi Bolt USB Receiver:

  1. Plug the Logi Bolt USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
  2. Turn on the keyboard using the power switch located on the top edge.
  3. The keyboard should automatically connect to the receiver. If not, press and hold one of the Easy-Switch keys (F1, F2, or F3) for 3 seconds until the LED blinks rapidly, then release. The keyboard will attempt to pair.

Via Bluetooth Low Energy:

  1. Turn on the keyboard using the power switch.
  2. Press and hold one of the Easy-Switch keys (F1, F2, or F3) for 3 seconds until the LED blinks rapidly. This indicates the keyboard is in pairing mode.
  3. On your device (computer, tablet, smartphone), open Bluetooth settings.
  4. Select "MX Mechanical Mini" from the list of available devices.
  5. Follow any on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process.

Note: The keyboard can be paired with up to three devices using the Easy-Switch keys (F1, F2, F3). Pressing an Easy-Switch key briefly will switch between paired devices.

Operating Instructions

Key Functions

  • Easy-Switch Keys (F1, F2, F3): Quickly switch between up to three paired devices.
  • Backlight Control (F4, F5, F6): Adjust backlight brightness. The keyboard features smart illumination that adapts to ambient light.
  • Media Keys (F7-F12): Control media playback (play/pause, skip, volume).
  • Fn Key: Press the Fn key to access secondary functions printed on the F-keys and other keys.

Smart Illumination

The keyboard's smart backlighting automatically adjusts intensity based on ambient light conditions. Keys illuminate when your hands approach the keyboard and dim when not in use to conserve battery. You can manually adjust brightness using the dedicated backlight control keys.

Logi Options+ Software

For advanced customization, including programming Fn keys, assigning backlight effects, and enabling Flow for multi-device control, download and install the Logi Options+ software. This software is available for Windows and macOS.

Multi-Computer Workflow (Logitech Flow)

When paired with a compatible Logitech mouse (e.g., MX Master 3S) and Logi Options+ software, you can use Logitech Flow to seamlessly control multiple computers with a single keyboard and mouse. This allows you to move your cursor across screens and even copy-paste text and files between devices.

Maintenance

Cleaning

  • Turn off the keyboard before cleaning.
