5. Setup Guide
5.1 Initial Power-Up and Network Connection
- Power Connection: Connect the provided US power adapter to the camera's power port and plug it into an electrical outlet. The camera requires a constant power source to operate.
- Network Connection:
- Wired Connection (Recommended for initial setup): Connect one end of the included Cat5 Ethernet cable to the camera's LAN port and the other end to your router or network switch.
- Wireless Connection: The camera supports 2.4GHz WiFi networks only. It does not support 5GHz WiFi. Ensure your router is configured for 2.4GHz or has a mixed mode enabled.
5.2 App Installation and Camera Addition
- Download the App: Download the "CamHi" or "CamHipro" app from your smartphone's app store (iOS App Store or Google Play Store).
- Add Camera: Open the CamHi/CamHipro app. Instead of scanning a QR code, add the security camera through the "LAN Search" function within the app. This will discover cameras connected to your local network.
- PC Client Software: For PC viewing and settings, download the appropriate PC client software. Note that the "Search Tool" software does not work with MAC OS. A P2P PC client for MAC OS is available for viewing and partial settings. For Windows, use Internet Explorer or Edge (in Internet Explorer mode) for full functionality, as Flash support has ceased.
5.3 Micro SD Card Installation (Optional)
The camera supports Micro SD cards up to 128GB for local recording. Use a Class-10, UHS-1 or higher speed memory card designed for surveillance cameras.
- Access SD Card Slot: The external SD card slot is located inside the camera. You will need to open the camera by removing the four screws on the front. Carefully pull out the internal components to reveal the slot.
- Insert SD Card: Insert the Micro SD card into the slot with the contacts facing the front of the camera until it clicks into place.
- Secure Camera: Carefully reinsert the internal components and secure the front cover with the screws. Ensure the waterproof lids are properly seated.
- Format SD Card: After installation, format the SD card using the CamHi/CamHipro app or PC client software.

7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the camera lens and housing with a soft, damp cloth to ensure clear image quality. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Environmental Conditions: The camera is IP66 waterproof and designed to withstand temperatures from -4℉ to 140℉. Ensure it is installed within these operating parameters for optimal performance and longevity.
- Firmware Updates: Check the SV3C official website periodically for any available firmware updates to improve performance and security.
8. Troubleshooting
- Camera Not Connecting to WiFi: Ensure your WiFi network is 2.4GHz. The camera does not support 5GHz WiFi. Verify the WiFi password is correct.
- No Image/Offline: Check the power connection to ensure the camera is receiving power. Verify network connectivity (both wired and wireless). Restart the camera by unplugging and re-plugging the power adapter.
- SD Card Not Recording: Ensure the Micro SD card is Class-10, UHS-1 or higher and designed for surveillance. Format the SD card through the app or PC client software after installation. Check if the SD card is full; older recordings may be overwritten.
- PC Software Issues (MAC OS): The "Search Tool" software is not compatible with MAC OS. Use the P2P PC client for MAC OS for viewing and partial settings.
- PC Software Issues (Windows): If experiencing issues with live view or settings on PC, ensure you are using Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge (with Internet Explorer mode enabled), as Flash Player support has been discontinued.
- Motion Detection Too Sensitive/Not Triggering: Adjust the motion detection sensitivity and define specific detection areas within the app settings.
