4.1 Wiring Diagram
Refer to the following image for typical wiring connections. Always ensure power is OFF before beginning any wiring.

4.2 Installation Steps
- Turn off Power: At the circuit breaker or fuse box, turn off the power to the switch location. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
- Remove Old Switch: Carefully remove the existing wall plate and switch from the wall box. Disconnect the wires from the old switch.
- Identify Wires: Identify the LINE (hot), LOAD, and GROUND wires. For 3-way installations, also identify the TRAVELER wires.
- Connect Wires: Connect the wires from the wall box to the dimmer switch using the provided wire nuts.
- Black wire on dimmer: Connect to LINE (hot) wire.
- Red wire(s) on dimmer: Connect to LOAD wire (and TRAVELER wire for 3-way).
- Green wire on dimmer: Connect to GROUND wire.
- Mount Dimmer: Carefully push the wired dimmer switch into the wall box. Secure it with the provided mounting screws.
- Attach Wall Plate: Snap the screwless wall plate onto the dimmer switch.
- Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.

4.3 Sensitivity Adjustment (Trim Dial)
The dimmer features a trim dial located underneath the cover plate. This dial allows you to adjust the low-end dimming range to ensure optimal compatibility with various LED and CFL lamps, preventing flicker or premature turn-off at low light levels.

To adjust: Remove the screwless wall plate. Locate the small trim dial at the bottom of the dimmer. Turn the dial clockwise to increase the minimum light level or counter-clockwise to decrease it, until stable dimming is achieved without flicker.
5. Operating Instructions
The Maxxima LED Slide Dimmer Switch features a vertical slide control for dimming and a separate ON/OFF button.

- Turn ON/OFF: Press the bottom button to turn the lights ON or OFF.
- Dimming: Move the vertical slide control up to increase light brightness and down to decrease light brightness.

6. Maintenance
The Maxxima LED Slide Dimmer Switch requires minimal maintenance. To clean, simply wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the finish.
7. Troubleshooting
- Lights flicker or do not dim properly: Adjust the sensitivity trim dial (refer to Section 4.3). Ensure your bulbs are dimmable LED or CFL, or incandescent.
- Lights do not turn on: Check the circuit breaker. Verify all wiring connections are secure. Ensure the dimmer is not connected to a non-dimmable fixture.
- Dimmer does not work with low wattage LED loads: The dimmer may not be compatible with LED loads of 4.5 watts or less. Consider increasing the total wattage of connected LED bulbs.
- Dimmer gets warm: It is normal for dimmers to feel warm during operation. If it becomes excessively hot or emits a burning smell, immediately turn off power at the circuit breaker and consult a qualified electrician.
- Not for use with ceiling fans: This dimmer is designed for lighting loads only and should not be used to control ceiling fans or other motor-driven appliances.
