1. Introduction

The FeiyuTech Vimble 2S is a versatile 3-axis gimbal stabilizer designed for smartphones, offering enhanced stability and creative shooting modes. It features an extendable selfie stick, multiple follow modes, and direct camera control for a seamless mobile videography experience.

3. Setup

3.1 Attaching the Tripod

3.2 Unlocking and Mounting the Smartphone

Before mounting your smartphone, unlock the gimbal's motor locks. Gently open the smartphone clamp and securely place your phone in the holder. Ensure the phone is centered and stable.

3.3 Balancing the Gimbal

Proper balancing is crucial for optimal performance and battery life. With the smartphone mounted, adjust the cross arm horizontally until the phone remains level when released. The gimbal should be balanced before powering on.

3.4 Powering On/Off

Long-press the function button to power on or power off the gimbal. The indicator light will show its status.

To enable full control and features, connect the gimbal to your smartphone via Bluetooth. Turn on Bluetooth on your phone, search for "FY_Vimble2S_XX" (where XX is a unique identifier), and pair. Once connected, you can control your phone's camera functions directly from the gimbal.

4. Operating the Gimbal

4.1 Function Button Overview

The main function button on the handle controls various modes:

• Single Click: Enters/exits Lock Mode (lens direction is fixed).
• Double Click: Enters Pan and Tilt Follow Mode (lens follows horizontal and vertical movements).
• Triple Click: Enters All Follow Mode (lens follows all three axes in 360 degrees).

4.2 Trigger Button Functions

• Long Press: Enters Tilt Follow Mode (lens follows vertical movement).
• Double Click: Resets the gimbal to its initial position.
• Click Function Button while Pressing Trigger Button: Switches to Portrait Mode. Repeat to exit.

4.3 Extendable Rod

The Vimble 2S features a built-in 18cm (7.08 inch) extension bar, allowing for wider shots and unique angles, similar to a selfie stick. Gently pull the top section to extend it.

4.4 Direct Camera Control

5. Maintenance

5.1 Charging the Gimbal

The Vimble 2S supports up to 10 hours of working time. Use the provided Micro USB cable to charge the gimbal. It also supports reverse charging, allowing you to charge your smartphone directly from the gimbal's built-in Micro USB port.

5.2 Storage

6.1 Gimbal Not Powering On or Responding

• Ensure the gimbal is fully charged.
• Verify that the smartphone is properly balanced before powering on. An unbalanced load can prevent the gimbal from starting or cause it to shut down.
• Try resetting the gimbal by double-clicking the trigger button.

6.2 Bluetooth Connection Issues

• Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
• Forget the device in your phone's Bluetooth settings and try pairing again.
• Restart both the gimbal and your smartphone.
• Ensure the Feiyu ON app is updated to the latest version.

6.3 Gimbal Overload Warning

If you receive a "Gimbal overload" warning, it typically means the smartphone is too heavy or not properly balanced. Re-balance the phone or ensure it is within the maximum weight recommendation (210 grams / 0.44 pounds).

6.4 Firmware Upgrade Issues (Feiyu ON App FAQ)

• "Upgrade failed", indicator keeps GREEN light, cannot turn on gimbal: Reboot the gimbal, connect with app again, select "Keyboard firmware" in gimbal settings to upgrade.
