Follow these steps to properly install your Herdio passive outdoor speakers:

2. Mounting Bracket Installation: Use the provided speed-lock mounting brackets. These brackets allow for vertical or horizontal mounting. Secure the U-bracket to your chosen surface using appropriate hardware (not included, as specific hardware depends on surface material).

3. Attach Speakers to Brackets: Once the brackets are securely mounted, attach the speakers to the brackets. The speed-lock mechanism ensures a firm, anti-slip connection. Adjust the angle of the speakers as desired; the brackets allow for up to 120 degrees of motion, and the front face can rotate up to 90 degrees.

4. Wiring Connections: These are passive speakers and require an external amplifier or receiver. Connect the speaker wires from your amplifier's speaker outputs to the binding posts on the back of each Herdio speaker. Ensure correct polarity: connect the positive (+) terminal on the amplifier to the red (+) terminal on the speaker, and the negative (-) terminal on the amplifier to the black (-) terminal on the speaker.

5. Operating Instructions

Once your Herdio speakers are properly installed and connected to an amplifier, operating them is straightforward:

1. Power On Amplifier: Turn on your connected amplifier or receiver.

3. Adjust Volume: Slowly increase the volume on your amplifier to a comfortable listening level. Avoid setting the volume too high, which can cause distortion and potentially damage the speakers or your hearing.

• Distorted Sound:
  • Reduce the volume level on your amplifier. Overdriving the speakers can cause distortion.
  • Check speaker wire connections for loose strands or short circuits.
