1. Introduction

The TOUMEI V5 Smart Mini Projector is a portable, high-performance device designed for home entertainment, business presentations, and educational purposes. 2. Setup

2.1 Unpacking

  • Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  • Verify that all accessories are present, including the projector, power adapter, and remote control.

2.2 Power Connection

  1. Connect the power adapter to the projector's DC input port.
  2. Plug the power adapter into a suitable electrical outlet. The power indicator light on the projector will illuminate.

2.3 Initial Placement and Positioning

  • Place the projector on a stable, flat surface. For optimal viewing, position it directly in front of the projection screen or wall.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation around the projector to prevent overheating. Do not block the air vents.
  • The projector features automatic keystone correction (up to 40°) and auto focus, simplifying setup. For best results, ensure the projector is as perpendicular to the screen as possible.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Powering On/Off

  • To power on, press the power button on the projector or the remote control. The projector will boot up to the Android OS interface.
  • To power off, press the power button again. A shutdown confirmation prompt may appear; select 'OK' to confirm.

3.2 Navigation and Android OS

  • Use the provided remote control to navigate the Android OS interface. The remote allows for cursor control and selection.
  • The Android OS provides access to various pre-installed applications and allows for downloading new apps from the app store.

3.3 Connectivity

  • Wi-Fi: Connect to a wireless network via the settings menu. Supports 2.4G/5G Wi-Fi for stable and fast streaming.
  • Bluetooth 4.0: Pair with external Bluetooth speakers, mice, gamepads, or other compatible devices through the Bluetooth settings.
  • Screen Mirroring (Airplay/Miracast/DLNA): Mirror your smartphone or tablet screen wirelessly to the projector. Access this feature from the main menu or dedicated app.

3.4 3D Functionality

  • The projector supports DLP-LINK 3D and is compatible with various 3D formats including Blu-ray 3D.
  • To view 3D content, ensure your source material is in a supported 3D format and use compatible DLP-LINK 3D glasses (sold separately).
  • A dedicated 3D switch button may be present on the remote control for quick activation.

3.5 Large Screen Projection

  • The projector can project images from 30 to 300 inches, offering a cinematic experience.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning the Lens

  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses to gently wipe the projector lens.
  • Avoid using abrasive cleaners or excessive force, which can scratch the lens.

4.2 Ventilation

  • Regularly check that the projector's air vents are clear of dust and obstructions.
  • Use a can of compressed air to gently clear dust from the vents if necessary.

4.3 Lamp Life

  • The OSRAM LED lamp has an estimated lifespan of 30,000 hours, providing long-term use without frequent lamp replacement.

4.4 Storage

  • When not in use for extended periods, store the projector in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Consider using the original packaging or a protective case to prevent dust accumulation and physical damage.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 No Power

  • Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the projector and a working electrical outlet.
  • Check if the power indicator light on the projector is on. If not, try a different outlet.

5.2 No Image or Blurry Image

  • Verify that the projector is powered on and the lens cap (if any) is removed.
  • Allow the auto focus feature to adjust the image clarity. If still blurry, check for manual focus options in the settings or use the remote control's electronic focusing feature.
  • Ensure the projection surface is flat and clean.
  • Check the input source. Make sure the correct HDMI, USB, or screen mirroring source is selected.

5.3 Image Distorted (Trapezoid Shape)

  • The projector features automatic keystone correction. Ensure the projector is placed on a level surface.
  • If the distortion persists, check the keystone correction settings in the menu for manual adjustments.

5.4 No Sound

  • Check the volume level on the projector and the connected source device.
  • If using external speakers, ensure they are properly connected and powered on.
  • Verify Bluetooth audio connection if streaming wirelessly to an external speaker.

5.5 Connectivity Issues (Wi-Fi/Bluetooth)

  • For Wi-Fi, ensure the network password is correct and the signal strength is adequate. Try restarting your router.
  • For Bluetooth, ensure the device you are trying to connect is in pairing mode and within range.
