Setup and Installation

The Herdio HOS-501W speakers feature versatile swivel brackets for easy placement and a speed-lock mounting system for secure installation. These speakers require an external amplifier (not included) for operation.

Speaker Wiring

Connect the speaker cables to the speaker terminals. The red wire connects to the positive (+) terminal, and the black wire connects to the negative (-) terminal. Ensure a secure connection. These speakers are passive and require an amplifier to function. Connect the other end of the speaker cables to your amplifier's speaker outputs, matching positive to positive and negative to negative. Finally, plug your amplifier into a power supply.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the speaker enclosures with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Inspection: Periodically check speaker cables and connections for any signs of wear or corrosion, especially in outdoor environments.
  • Placement: While designed for outdoor use, placing speakers under eaves or in covered areas can further protect them from extreme weather conditions and prolong their lifespan.
