3.2 Sensor Installation and Pairing
All sensors are pre-paired with the main unit. If re-pairing is needed, refer to the specific sensor's mini-manual or the control panel's pairing menu.
- PIR Motion Sensors:
- Install PIR sensors in corners of rooms or hallways, approximately 2-2.5 meters (6.5-8 feet) above the floor.
- Ensure the sensor has a clear line of sight to the area it is monitoring, free from obstructions.
- Avoid placing near heat sources, direct sunlight, or air vents that could cause false alarms.

- Door/Window Contact Sensors:
- Mount one part of the sensor on the door/window frame and the other part on the door/window itself.
- Ensure the two parts are aligned and within 1 cm (0.4 inches) of each other when the door/window is closed.
- Use the adhesive pads or screws provided for installation.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and reliability of your alarm system.
5.1 Battery Management
- Main Control Panel Backup Battery: The integrated Lithium-ion battery provides power during outages. It has a life of approximately 48 hours. If the battery level is low, the panel will indicate it. Contact support for replacement if needed.
- Sensor Batteries: Wireless sensors are powered by standard batteries (e.g., AA, AAA, or button cells). Replace them when the low battery indicator appears on the sensor or control panel.
- Remote Control Batteries: Replace button cell batteries in remote controls when their range decreases or they stop responding.
5.2 Cleaning and Care
- Wipe the control panel and sensors with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ensure sensors are free from dust and cobwebs, which can interfere with their operation.
5.3 Regular Checks
- Test the alarm system periodically (e.g., monthly) by triggering a sensor to ensure the siren activates and notifications are sent. Inform your emergency contacts before testing.
- Check the SIM card balance regularly to ensure continuous GSM communication.
6. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your D1D9 alarm system.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|
| System does not arm/disarm. | Incorrect PIN, remote control battery low, out of range. | Verify PIN. Replace remote battery. Move closer to the control panel. |
| No mobile notifications. | SIM card issues (no credit, expired, incorrect insertion), incorrect phone numbers programmed. | Check SIM card balance and status. Re-enter emergency contact numbers. Ensure GSM signal is strong. |
| False alarms. | Improper sensor placement (near heat sources, drafts), sensor sensitivity too high, low sensor battery. | Adjust sensor placement. Reduce PIR sensitivity if adjustable. Replace sensor batteries. |
| Siren does not sound. | Siren not connected, siren power issue, siren malfunction. | Check siren connection to the control panel. Ensure siren has power if external. Contact support if issue persists. |
