4. Setup

4.1. Battery Installation

  1. Ensure the pump is switched OFF.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert two fully charged 18V Power X-Change batteries into their respective slots. Ensure they click into place securely.

4.2. Hose Connections

  1. Connect the suction hose to the 42 mm (1 1/4" AG) suction port. Ensure a tight, airtight connection to prevent air leaks.

4.3. Priming the Pump

Before first use or if the pump has run dry, it must be primed with water.

  1. Unscrew the water filling screw located on the top of the pump.
  2. Carefully fill the pump housing with water until it overflows.
  3. Replace and tighten the water filling screw securely.

5.1. Starting the Pump

  1. Ensure batteries are installed, hoses are connected, and the pump is primed.
  2. Select the desired operating mode using the control switch:
    • ECO Mode: Provides prolonged battery runtime (up to 90% longer) with slightly reduced pressure for equivalent flow. Ideal for general watering tasks.
    • BOOST Mode: Delivers full power and maximum pressure for demanding applications.
  3. The pump will start operating.

5.2. Stopping the Pump

To stop the pump, simply move the control switch to the OFF position.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Frost Protection and Storage

To prevent damage from freezing temperatures, it is crucial to completely drain the pump before storing it for the winter season.

  1. Switch the pump OFF and remove the batteries.
  2. Disconnect all hoses.
  3. Unscrew the water drain screw located at the bottom of the pump.
  4. Tilt the pump to ensure all water drains out.
