Wipe the main unit and external sensor with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the display or casing. Avoid exposing the units to excessive moisture.
6.2 Battery Replacement
When the battery indicator appears on the display, replace the batteries in the respective unit (main unit or external sensor). Always use new AAA batteries and ensure correct polarity. Dispose of old batteries responsibly.
7. Troubleshooting
- No display on main unit:
- Ensure USB power cable is securely connected or batteries are correctly inserted and not depleted.
- Try a different USB power source.
- No outdoor temperature/humidity reading:
- Check if the external sensor batteries are installed correctly and not depleted.
- Ensure the external sensor is within range of the main unit and not obstructed by thick walls or metal objects.
- Try re-synchronizing by removing batteries from both units, waiting a few minutes, then reinserting batteries into the external sensor first, then the main unit.
- Incorrect time:
- Manually set the time as described in Section 5.1.
- Ensure the atomic clock function (if applicable and enabled) has a clear signal.
- Inaccurate weather forecast:
- The weather forecast is based on atmospheric pressure changes and is an estimation. It may not always perfectly match local conditions.
- Ensure the main unit is not placed near heat sources or vents that could affect pressure readings.
