2. What's in the Box
Upon opening your Apple iPhone 8 Plus package, please verify that all the following items are included:
- Apple iPhone 8 Plus (64GB, Gold)
- EarPods with Lightning Connector

3. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your new iPhone 8 Plus for the first time:
- Insert SIM Card: Locate the SIM tray on the right side of your iPhone. Use the SIM ejector tool (often found in the original packaging) to open the tray. Place your nano-SIM card into the tray with the gold contacts facing down and the notched corner aligned. Carefully push the tray back into the iPhone until it is flush with the side.
- Charge Your iPhone: Connect the Lightning to USB Cable to the Lightning port at the bottom of your iPhone and the other end to the 5W USB Power Adapter. Plug the adapter into a power outlet. It is recommended to fully charge your device before initial use.

- Home Button: Press the Home button once to return to the Home screen. Double-press to open the App Switcher. Press and hold for Siri.
- Lock/Unlock: Press the Side button once to lock or unlock the screen.
- Swipe: Swipe left or right on the Home screen to navigate between pages of apps. Swipe down from the top to access Search and Siri Suggestions. Swipe down from the top-right corner for Control Center (on iOS 12).

- Calls: Tap the Phone app icon, then select a contact or dial a number using the Keypad. Tap the green call button to initiate a call.
- Messages: Tap the Messages app icon. Tap the new message icon (top right) to compose a new message. Enter the recipient's name or number and type your message. Tap the send button.
4.3 Using the Camera
The iPhone 8 Plus features a powerful dual-camera system.
- Open Camera: Tap the Camera app icon from the Home screen or swipe left from the Lock screen.
- Select Mode: Swipe left or right on the screen to choose between Photo, Portrait, Video, Slo-mo, Time-lapse, and Pano modes.
- Take Photo/Record Video: Tap the Shutter button (white circle) to take a photo or the Record button (red circle) to start/stop video recording.

5. Maintenance and Care

- Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the screen and back of your iPhone. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals. For stubborn smudges, slightly dampen the cloth with water.
- Water and Dust Resistance: The iPhone 8 Plus is splash, water, and dust resistant under controlled laboratory conditions with a rating of IP67 under IEC standard 60529 (maximum depth of 1 meter up to 30 minutes). This resistance is not permanent and may decrease as a result of normal wear. Do not attempt to charge a wet iPhone.
- Battery Care: To maximize battery lifespan, avoid exposing your iPhone to extreme temperatures. If storing for a long period, charge it to about 50% and power it off.
