Introduction
The Scosche VP2M-SP 2-in-1 FreeFlow mount is designed to securely hold your mobile device in your vehicle. It offers two primary mounting options: a vent mount for hands-free driving and a dash mount using an automotive-grade adhesive base. The mount features adjustable arms to accommodate various devices and a 360-degree rotating ball-joint for optimal viewing angles. Its open design ensures air can flow freely from your vehicle's vent.

- Insert into Vehicle Vent: Carefully slide the vent clip onto one of your vehicle's air vent louvers. Ensure it is firmly seated. The design allows for free airflow.

2. Dashboard Mount Installation (Optional)
For dashboard mounting, the QuickGrip Swing-Arm Universal Dash mount utilizes an automotive-grade adhesive base. This option provides a secure, semi-permanent attachment to your vehicle's dashboard.
- Prepare Surface: Clean the desired dashboard area thoroughly to ensure it is free of dust and grease.
- Apply Adhesive Base: Remove the protective backing from the adhesive disc on the dash mount. Firmly press the mount onto the cleaned dashboard surface for at least 30 seconds. Allow the adhesive to cure for 24 hours before attaching your device.
Operating Instructions
1. Inserting Your Device
- Expand Arms: Gently pull apart the adjustable arms of the universal holder.

Description: The phone holder is depicted with a transparent overlay of a smartphone, illustrating how the adjustable arms expand to securely grip the device. The arms are designed to fit devices up to 3.5 inches wide.
- Place Device: Carefully place your smartphone between the expanded arms. The arms will automatically close to secure the device. The mount accommodates devices up to 3.5 inches wide.
2. Removing Your Device
To remove your device, gently pull one of the adjustable arms outwards to release the phone. Use two hands if necessary to avoid dislodging the mount.
3. Adjusting Viewing Angle
The mount features a 360-degree rotating ball-joint. Loosen the collar behind the mount head, adjust your device to the desired portrait or landscape orientation, and then tighten the collar to secure the position.

Description: The image shows the phone holder with a smartphone, demonstrating its ability to rotate 360 degrees for flexible viewing angles. Arrows indicate the rotational movement.
Maintenance
- Keep the mount clean by wiping it with a soft, damp cloth.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these may damage the finish.
- Periodically check the tightness of the vent clip or the adhesion of the dash mount to ensure secure attachment.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Mount is loose on vent. | Vent clip not fully engaged or vent louvers are too thin. | Ensure the vent clip is pushed firmly onto the vent louver. If the vent is too thin, try a different louver or consider the dash mount option. |
| Phone is not held securely. | Device width exceeds maximum capacity (3.5 inches) or arms are not fully closed. | Verify your device's width is within the 3.5-inch limit. Ensure the adjustable arms are allowed to close completely around the device. |
| Mount falls off dashboard. | Dashboard surface was not clean, or adhesive did not cure properly. | Re-clean the dashboard surface thoroughly. If using a new adhesive disc, allow 24 hours for it to cure before use. Ensure firm pressure was applied during installation. |
| Device rotates freely after adjustment. | Ball-joint collar is not tightened sufficiently. | Tighten the collar behind the mount head firmly after adjusting the viewing angle. |
