Setup
Unpacking and Placement
Carefully remove the dishwasher from its packaging. Place the unit on a flat, stable, and level surface near a power outlet and a drain. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for ventilation and access to the water tank opening.

The dishwasher measures approximately 17.3 inches in depth, 16.5 inches in width, and 17.3 inches in height, making it suitable for countertop placement.
Water Supply
The Farberware FDW05ASBWHA offers two methods for water supply:
- Using the Built-in Water Tank:
Open the water tank cap on the top of the dishwasher. Use the provided water pitcher to fill the 5-liter tank with clean water. The dishwasher will emit a beep sound when the tank is full. Ensure the dishwasher is powered on before filling to hear the full indicator.

- Direct Faucet Connection (Optional):
For continuous water supply, connect the included water hose to a kitchen faucet. The L-shaped end connects to the dishwasher, and the straight end connects to the faucet. An adapter (not included) may be required for certain faucet types. Refer to the diagram for proper connection.

Drainage
Connect the drain hose to the designated outlet on the dishwasher. Position the other end of the drain hose into a sink or a bucket. Ensure the hose is securely placed to prevent spills during the drain cycle. After each cycle, lift the drain hose to ensure all residual water drains out to prevent mildew buildup.
Operating Instructions
Loading Dishes
Arrange dishes in the pull-out rack, ensuring they do not obstruct the spray arms. Large items up to 12 inches in diameter can be placed at an angle. Use the cutlery rack for silverware. Pre-rinse heavily soiled dishes to remove large food particles before loading.

- Rapid: Quick wash cycle (approx. 122°F).
- Fruit Wash: Cold water cycle for gently cleaning fruits and vegetables. A dedicated fruit basket strainer is included.

Starting a Cycle
After loading dishes, adding detergent, and ensuring water supply, close the door firmly. The dishwasher will not start if the door is not tightly closed. Select your desired wash cycle using the touch controls, then press the "Start/Pause" button. The display will show the remaining time for the cycle. Note that it may take a minute or two for water to begin circulating from the reservoir.
To pause a cycle, press the "Start/Pause" button. To resume, press it again. It is not recommended to open the door during a cycle as it can interrupt the process and potentially cause spills.
Maintenance
Cleaning the Interior
Regularly clean the interior of the dishwasher to prevent odor and buildup. Wipe down the inner walls and door seal with a damp cloth. For deeper cleaning, run an empty cycle with a dishwasher cleaner or a cup of white vinegar.
Filter Cleaning
The dishwasher has a filter system at the bottom that should be cleaned regularly to ensure optimal performance. Twist and remove the filter assembly, rinse it under running water to remove any food particles, and then reassemble it securely.
Drying and Air Refresh
After a wash cycle, the dishwasher performs a drying phase. For enhanced drying and to prevent moisture buildup, use the "Air Refresh" function. Alternatively, you can leave the dishwasher door slightly ajar (approximately 1/4 inch) after the cycle is complete to allow air circulation and facilitate drying of the interior and dishes. Ensure the door is not fully closed to prevent moisture from being trapped.
